The doctor is out. USA Network has decided to cancel their Rush TV show after one season of 10 episodes.
Rush revolves around a talented and handsome physician (Tom Ellis) who had it all — but then lost it in one fateful night. Six years later, he’s a private doctor who treats less-than-squeaky-clean clientele in Los Angeles. The rest of the cast includes Harry Hamlin, Larenz Tate, Odette Annable, and Sarah Habel.
Debuting mid-July, the first episode of Rush attracted 1.7 million viewers with a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Not a very good start. The numbers for later episodes went up and down and the season averaged 1.65 million with a 0.4 in the demo.
Satisfaction, another new drama, had very similar ratings and either show could have been cancelled or renewed. USA ultimately chose to drop Rush and renew Satisfaction. The defacto series finale aired on September 18th.

NBC-USA has never been good in picking TV shows, the cancelled Star Trek and look what happened with that. Rush was a great show maybe another network will pick it up
I really liked Rush and would have watched another season. Bummer. I figured that USA would go with the TV-friendly ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ knock-off.
Rush was incredible – probably best new show this year! WTF USA!!! If anything the numbers were lousy because it was on USA and no one knew about it. This was an incredible show and now it is no more. Executives at USA need to be fired.

was so disappointed when i found out that episode 10 was the season finale, and now even more disappointed to find out there isnt a season 2. bring back rush!!!

I agree that Rush is awesome and Satisfaction is crap!!! I don’t know anyone that watches it. Rush’s storyline was terrific and Tom Ellis was perfectly cast! I fell in love the first episode.
I’m as sad as can be when I think about Rush being canceled.
Come on USA, cancel Satisfaction and BRING BACK RUSH !!!!!!!!!!!
