Nobody’s safe. CBS has cancelled its Salvation TV show after two seasons. During the second season, which finished its run on September 17, 2018, the science fiction thriller’s ratings dropped significantly, so the Salvation cancellation has been expected.
A CBS suspense drama, Salvation stars Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnigan, Charlie Rowe, Jacqueline Byers, Melia Kreiling, Ashley Thomas, and Ian Anthony Dale. The story centers MIT graduate student Liam Cole (Rowe) and tech genius Darius Tanz (Cabrera), who discover that in six months, a huge asteroid will crash into the Earth. In season two, the truth is out. Now that it is no longer a secret, the impeding threat will elicit both the best and worst from humanity.

The second season of Salvation averaged a 0.33 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.67 million viewers. It was down by 36^ amd 24%, respectively, in comparison to season one, it is down by 36% and 24%. Check out how Salvation stacks up against the other CBS TV shows.

I agree with all the other comments. I really liked Salvation. I think it’s terrible for CBS to cancel shows and leave the ones watching it with no closure. Don’t worry it won’t happen to me again. I am fed up with CBS leaving me wanting more and patiently waiting for the show to come back on and finding out that it’s not. I won’t be wasting my time on new series. I’ll watch Hallmark channel.
I agree with all these other people that are upset with CBS. I thought Salvation was really good. Every time y’all come out with a new series y’all leave us wanting some closure or an ending to the story but we don’t get it y’all just cancel it. . Don’t worry it won’t happen to me again. I’ve had it with CBS, I’ll watch NBC or better yet Hallmark.
Lousy that show was cancelled with cliffhanger. Can we get a comment from writers what object was and synopsis of season three?

I am getting really tired of CBS, they do this more than any station! My hubby and I love Salvation and also got a bunch of people to watch it. Now they left us hanging again which I feel is unacceptable! Please bring it back!!
Salvation was the best show on tv. I can’t believe CBS cancelled the show. Give it a chance as two seasons is not long enough for everyone to learn about it. The writing and acting were terrific. If CBS wants to cancel something cancel those silly sitcoms but please bring Salvation back.
I love salvation tv serie and i want to know what a hell arrives to the Earth on the last episode. There must be a third season.
I will cancel cbs account if no season 3 or a finally, and i will tell others to do same, just why u cancel with ending of season 2 being so intense, forget the ratings that are random and statistics, if yous at cbs would ask the whole population there would be a higher rating anyway

The series salvation was one of the best ever! If there is any way to continue please do! We all enjoyed it very much!
If CBS doesn’t renew the Salvation series, I will personally encourage everyone to boycott any new releases from CBS!!!!!

Hope it does get picked up by netflix or someone that ending is so interesting .
I feel like most sci fi shows i watch like under the dome, zoo, salvation … etc get cancelled after 2-3 seasons as people dont like them but i find them so interesting so hope they get picked up or ended in a movie type thing just so i have an ending that is as satisfying as the shows

If a show has been on for 2 seasons or more the least a station can do is have a final episode to tie up the loose ends and give its supporters closure! The show Timeless actually did that! Somewhere, somehow there needs to be an agreement with these stations that they cannot cancel a show without a final show! Too many shows have ended this way! Not everyone is a fan of all of the stupid reality shows.

Please bring salvation back, it was a good show and you left all the viewers on a cliff!! Perhaps your time slots were the problem for the ratings, put it on Netflix or something but COME ON there are people out there watching it!!! Please please find a way to bring it back.
I am getting so heartedly fed up enjoying different tv series only to have them chopped off like a dead branch. I must have appalling taste apparently to love shows that keep getting ditched
