Salvation will end its first, and possibly last season, next week, and details for the finale have been released. The series has not yet been renewed for a second season, and ratings for the series have been low at .52 in the demo numbers and an average of 3.564 million viewers.
CBS revealed the full details about the Salvation finale, titled “The Plot Against America,” in a press release. Check that out below.
“Harris, Grace and Darius must topple the illegitimate government, and Darius makes final plans for the ark, on the season finale of SALVATION, Wednesday, Sept. 20 at a special time (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

I really hope there’s a second season, I feel like after episode 12 there’s too much left for just a one hour finale episode.
Very compelling and I usually don’t watch a series as faithfully as I have done with Salvation. If it is based upon a book, I’d like to read it!
May I take this opportunity also to advocate for the selection of Anthony Mason to succeed Scott Pelley as the permanent CBS Evening News anchor? He is fabulous! A winning combination of on air qualities under many significant circumstances, these past several months. Pass this along if you please.
Fun to watch, but with the premise, it can’t survive. Either the asteroid hits or not – show over.
Eventhough we don’t get to always watch it on Wednesday evenings, we always watch it a day or two later on the app. Please don’t rely on numbers as your only way to decide if it should be cancelled. It’s a well written show.

Just stumbled across Salvation during a CBS Access trial having never heard of it. Interesting start but it runs the gamut of genres. While it feels like a single season series (we need more), I would enjoy a second season as of episode 7ish.
Please renew “Salvation” for another season and many more. I thoroughly enjoy watching this show and look forward to the next episode.
Salvation should most definitely be nenewed! The plot has been very exciting, intriguing, fast-paced, and quite timely. Not only has our government in-fighting risen to a worrisome level, there have also been several real-news stories of asteroids coming quite close to earth. The cast is superb! Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnegan, Ian Anthony Dale and Charlie Rowe are all wonderful and their characters have been fleshed out.
