Prepare to be scandalized! Although the Scandal TV show was renewed for season seven on ABC, back in February, rumor has it that renewal is for a seventh and final season.
A Washington D.C. political drama, Scandal revolves around former White House Communications Director, Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington). The ABC cast also includes Scott Foley, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, Guillermo Diaz, Jeff Perry, Joshua Malina, Bellamy Young, Portia de Rossi, Joe Morton, Cornelius Smith Jr., and Tony Goldwyn.

Although ABC isn’t commenting, multiple sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that Scandal‘s upcoming seventh seventh will be its last. The network is expected to make a formal announcement at its upfront presentation on Tuesday. I’m told series creator Shonda Rhimes made the call to conclude the series, and ABC accepted her decision.
Back in January, we reported that it was Rhimes (rather than new mother Washington) who requested a shortened sixth season for creative reasons. At that time, she reportedly had already figured out where and when Scandal would end, so this has been brewing, for a while.
Since the network has not yet confirmed that Scandal will end with season seven, we’ll keep an eye on the situation and update you as information from the ABC Upfront becomes available. Stay tuned.

Tonight’s finale’ was interrupted by weather alerts – missed almost entire show – saw beginning only. Not very happy.
Scandal is my life, the common show all 3 female generations discuss in my family. My sisi, my mom, and my daughter.
Everything must come to an end but this is too soon for best Drama on TV.

Please let Scandal go a couple more seasons! It is a great show- different from the usual- the cast is fabulous, each playing their part so well.! I love the ideas Shondra Rhimes has come up with, and there are no shows like it on tv! I watch very few and select shows- the average tv show leaves me wanting, but shows like Scandal I cannot wait to see the next episode! I want Fitz and Olivia to finally be together. I will watch it for sure BUT NOOOOOOOOO!!!! Please don’t end it at 7. This is the best show ever- I even have my husband watching and he doesn’t watch shows like this!! Please keep it going.Please Please. Please.
Please renew. THIS IS A FABULOUS SHOW with all its twists and turns. Keep it going. All the cast members work very well together. I love the show and look forward to watching it every week.

Oh please let this be a mistake! Love this show-so cutting edge and realistic. Would like to see it run for at least ten seasons!
