In its first season, Scandal drew mediocre ratings and was nearly cancelled. ABC likely brought it back because they need new dramas and are hoping that the ratings would improve in season two. Will they be glad that they took the risk? Time will tell.
The second season of Scandal typically airs Thursday nights at 10pm on the ABC network. The cast includes Kerry Washington, Bellamy Young, Columbus Short, Darby Stanchfield, Guillermo Diaz, Jeff Perry, Joshua Malina, Katie Lowes, and Tony Goldwyn.

This show? I used to call my sister once a month; now we talk twice a week over this show. I have a hard time waiting till the next week’s episode. Have even got half a dozen friends turned in now; it’s a Scandal if we get any work done Friday. Love this show!!
I am a Senior Citizen and I LOVE THIS SHOW! Cannot wait each week….the acting is positively second to none! The entire cast is totally mesmerizing. Thrilled that it has been renewed and can’t imagine how the %ages have dropped! Perhaps the plot and spy layers are too complicated for some…….whatever! We all love it in our family and wish more awards would go to this show!
This show has the best ensemble on television, the writing is OFF the hook. Shonda is the best visionary in television, why? because EVERYONE IS REPRESENTED (GAY, BLACK, ASIAN, LATINO,OLD, YOUNG, )

The acting is brilliant. I have never seen actors with the skills for making viewers ‘feel’ their love and angst to this degree. Tony Goldwyn is AWESOME. Together, KW/TG have the most intimate, believable chemistry seen, whether in movies or TV, in decades, if not ever.
I totally agree with all the comments already mentioned. I don’t I have much time ofnmy hand for televsion, but this is a show I make the time for. I’ve been telling friends and family about it. Great cast, great writing. It truly would be a great disappointment to television if this show were canceled. One of the few quality shows on regular TV.
