Scorpion just wrapped its fourth season, but will there be another? Should CBS renew the TV show for a fifth season for not? Do you want more adventures of this geeky crew?
The action drama follows a team of misfits who also happen to be the country’s last line of defense against lurking high-tech threats. The cast includes Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, Eddie Kay Thomas, Jadyn Wong, Ari Stidham, Robert Patrick, Riley B. Smith, Andy Buckley, Jamie McShane, Joshua Leonard, Dan Dratch, and Scott Porter.
It’s unclear if CBS will renew Scorpion for a fifth season. On the one hand, ratings have been pretty low for the series. Season four averaged a 0.81 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.262 million viewers. That’s a nearly 30% drop in both ratings and viewership when compared to last season’s numbers.
On the other hand, CBS Television Studios is a producer on Scorpion, meaning the network has additional financial interest in picking up the show for another season. The show already has 93 episodes in the can and these days, that’s already enough for syndication.

Yes it’s my favorite show. Maybe the ratings wouldn’t have gone down if CBS would have left it in its original timeslot. Messing with a show’s timeslot always affects the ratings. NCIS L.A. ratings dropped when it was put in that timeslot too. Then it was moved to Sunday night at 9pm and the ratings went back up. No reason Scorpion has to be on at 10pm. It’s not too violent, sexual, or full of bad language. Can be considered a family show and he on earlier. It’s great to have an action/mystery show that won’t give me nightmares.

Yes – I hope that the show is renewed. It has more intellectual content than most TV shows and couple romance and fun in with the suspense.
This show has gotten so boring and it’s so typical they save the day yay Walter O’Brien has got to be the biggest piece of you-know-what I really can’t stand him he’s gotten too big for his britches and as far as Walter and Paige oh come on page you can find somebody better then this unemotional jerk hey Sheldon on Big Bang Theory evolved why can’t Walter evolve unemotional little boy if they cancel the show I won’t be heartbroken
Did you have a terrible childhood? This show was built on the premise that Walter and his crew would have serious things and problems to solve, and by the way there is a REAL Walter O’Brian. He’s one of the producers and helped develop the show based on he and his friends experiences. So show a little respect, not all shows are perfect. I respect your opinion and hopefully, if its renewed, they will try and develop Walter’s emotional side.
