ABOUT BEING: Trina
Diamond Princess Trina AKA ‘Da Baddest Bitch’ is infamous for her jaw-dropping provocative raps, but the real Katrina Laverne Taylor is a shy, subdued southern belle who lives a life of seclusion. BEING: Trina is undoubtedly a story of juggling dualities, and learning that what you see is not always what you get.
ABOUT BEING: CeCe Winans
CeCe Winans is a living gospel legend. With a career spanning more than three decades, she is the best-selling and most-awarded female gospel artist of all time. Although she is widely known as half of the sibling duo BeBe & CeCe with one of the most famous gospel family last names, she made a name for herself on her own. Over the course of her long-standing career, Winans has experienced highs and lows, but her faith in God has never wavered. From experiencing racism in gospel music to signing bad business deals, CeCe has gracefully weathered the storms and kept her family first. After a 9 year hiatus, CeCe Winans is back with the release of her first solo album. We will watch CeCe challenge herself by exploring a new sound in gospel genre that made her a star.
ABOUT BEING: Chante Moore
The only thing that surpasses Chanté Moore’s physical beauty is the sound of her voice. Although the powerful singer scored hits and awards, her career fell short of its full potential as Chanté’s dedication to her career has always played second fiddle to her storied love life. In this episode of BEING, we learn that Chanté will never give up on love… no matter the cost.
ABOUT BEING: Tracey Edmonds
Tracey Edmonds is perceived to have achieved success as a byproduct of her marriage to ex-husband Kenneth Babyface Edmonds. However, this episode of BEING reveals the truth behind her success. Businesswoman, television personality and all-around BOSS, Tracey Edmonds has fought long and worked tirelessly to carve out her own incredibly successful entertainment career spanning two decades.
ABOUT BEING: Sallie Richardson-Whitfield
For the last 20 years, Salli Richardson-Whitfield has endured as one of black Hollywood’s sexiest leading ladies. Through the years, the Chicago native has strived to prove that despite her looks, her talent has earned her a spot on the big screen. In this episode of BEING we learn that Salli’s life is surprisingly normal, as she spends most of her time taking care of her family. With her eye now turned to the director’s chair, Salli is realizing that when the opportunities are not given to you, you have to create them yourself.
ABOUT BEING: Tameka Tiny Cottle
Tiny is an award-winning singer and songwriter who had a successful career in the music business as part of the 90’s R&B group Xscape. More recently, Tiny put her career on the back burner as she made her family and marriage to hip-hop heavyweight, TI, a priority. After gaining popularity starring in hit shows such as BET’s Tiny & Toya and VH1’s TI and Tiny: A Family Hustle, the world came to know Tiny as a spunky down-to-earth family woman. Now with a new baby and the unfortunate news of a pending divorce, Tiny is re-emerging as the independent driven woman that has long been buried inside. From her controversial eye surgery to her marital woes to what’s next for Xscape, she digs deep and reveals what it’s really like to be Tiny.”
