Sunday was a big night for Shameless on Showtime. The TV series drew its largest audience to date and the cable channel has issued a press release with the details.

SHAMELESS continues to grow
FYI – this past Sunday’s episode of SHAMELESS was not only the highest rated episode of the season, it was the series’ highest rated episode ever. The series also posted its best total night ratings to-date. Through 5 weeks of total data, SHAMELESS season two averages 4.79 million total weekly viewers across platforms (On Demand, replays, Live+7), up +26% above last season through the same time frame (3.8 million).

When I first saw the promos, I thought I wouldn’t like this show. But I gave it a chance and watched the first episode and was instantly hooked. Season two is cruising along just fine, I think. But it’s not a show for everyone…
Love the show, just the right amount of nudity, comedy, drama and violence.
Emma Rossum and the whole family are cast perfectly.
