The alphabet network has ordered two additional installments of Shark Tank for season five, reports THR. This brings the season total to 24 installments.
On Shark Tank, a group of millionaires are pitched ideas and business propositions by budding entrepreneurs. The current sharks are Barbara Corcoran, Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Kevin O’Leary.
The non-scripted series was a slow-starter and looked like it might be cancelled in its first couple seasons. However, ABC stuck with it and Shark Tank has become quite a success on Friday nights. It’s currently averaging a 1.9 demo rating with 6.75 million viewers.
ABC has ordered 24 episodes but the count could potentially rise even higher. Last season, ABC ended up ordering 26 installments.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Shark Tank? Are you glad to hear there will be more episodes?
