A cop thriller, Stalker follows the work of the LAPD’s Threat Assessment Unit, a team that investigates incidents of stalking. The TV show stars Dylan McDermott, Maggie Q, Victor Rasuk, and Mariana Klaveno.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This show works for our family. It’s not always about someone getting murdered and trying to solve the case. Too many of those shows already. CBS needs to renew this one for another season.
Great Show!! Great ratings. The network won’t cancel because of the letter that person wrote. HELLO they are about money period. If they pulled the show for that reason then they would have to pull EVERY show off the air for what they are about…murder and so on. This show, NO one gets killed or rarely hurt. This stuff happens and people should be made aware of it. LEAVE it be. Great cast!!
It is unfortunate, but I think this show will be canceled ratings or no because CBS will run from the controversy. Sad, even though I don’t watch it, because it is competitive with CBS other 10 pm shows as well as those on the other networks except Shonda Thurs.

I think the stalker is a good show and also believe if it scares you or brings bad feelings for you,do not watch it.other shows scare me and I change the channel .it is no more unnerving than criminal minds and if it is one that scares me,I reach over and switch the channel.I think it shows you what is out there and makes you more aware of the fact that there are people that actually do those things .I hope it does not get canceled.
saying the opening of the stalker premier glorifies stalking is like saying the opening sequence on Omaha Beach in Saving Private Ryan glorifies war.

It is very apparent that the LOV the show mentality really are loving the stars that play the character which would be fine if the actual information were informative and not glorified. Not every stalking case is the same, meaning you have no right to deny that this show may shed light on some cases. It sheds light on behaviors of people who have been stalked, or fear being stalked may have (alarm systems, checking things repeatedly, sleeping facing the door, blinds and windows, triple checking locks, keeping everything in a certain pattern to know when it has been misplaced.
I must have watched a different show, cause when I saw the car on fire I thought I hope that they catch that SOB and do the same to him. I didn’t even remotely think that this glorified stalking. more likely the exact opposite. a feeling of wow, this can get bad if we don’t kill these guys first……. Ava, this part of what you say seems correct. I also said that I had originally had high hopes for the show and that perhaps the writers may get some enlightenment and the show would improve. The letter quoted was not from me but I do have to agree with the letter in terms of the shows that I watched. For one thing the star character was stalking and actually relocated to stalk his x wife. NOT GOOD. The fact that he wants to be a father is what most men say that stalk their X wives. Sorry, I know this is very hard for victims of stalkers but this is TV. There are rapists, murders, child molesters, drug dealers, on television someone somewhere is offended. This is just TV, people have a choice of what to watch. The stalkers in “Stalker,” are brought to justice and almost always caught so this could be encouraging, and perhaps help, those who have experienced stalking in reality.
I agree, I don’ t see how the murder of the week on CSI, NCIS, Castle doesn’t glorify murder but the story on stalker does. It’s TV and aren’t they telling us on stalker that it is a bad and growing problem that needs to be reined in? and how police are taking it more seriously now. I would think that the show is actually doing the opposite of what the lady said in her letter condemning it.
If you feel that way about Stalker, then Criminal Minds should be cancelled because it glorifies torture and mayhem on humans. NCIS LA should be cancelled because it glorifies violence and so on and so on.
Definitely renew this show!!!!!! Excellent cast and the suspense is incredible!!

This is one of the better shows on CBS and the acting is great. Each episode has a different storyline with interesting characters. The concept is original. Please don’t cancel this show.
