FOX has found some great ratings success with their Empire TV show. Now, the network has launched another music TV series called Star, which was created by Lee Daniels (the co-creator of Empire). Will the Star TV show “sing” in the ratings or will it hit a sour note? Cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
Airing on FOX, the Star TV show follows three talented singers as they navigate the cut-throat music business on their road to success. They’re desperate for a new start and have ambitions of stardom. Reality soon dawns on the girls’ fantasies, and they start to learn that ambition often comes at a cost. And sometimes that cost is too high. The cast includes Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, and Lenny Kravitz (as a guest).
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. There definitely needs to be another season…love it! I am a fan of Empire and I really think STAR is equally just as good~ Take it from me, I know what I’m talking about…I’m 50 years old, and this is great TV…keep it up. Beats all that other crap that’s on.
There needs to be a second season. I’ve been watching from day 1 and even rewatch the episodes on demand.
Please please please make another season!!! This show is awesome!! If fox won’t renew it, see if Netflix is interested!! Seriously I’m gonna be so sad if they don’t make another season!!
This is definitely by far the best new show on TV! I love Empire,but this show and the very talented actresses,and their voices,are amazing,as well as the acting. I too love,Queen Latifah,Benjamin Bratt,as well as the actress who plays Cotton,an amazing transgender actress!! I absolutely love the music in the show!! The storylines are so relatable to how the world we live in today! I truly hope it gets picked back up for good!!

I am so enjoying this show. I don’t watch a lot on T.V. anymore, but I will not miss this. It is so exciting, intriguing, and fresh. It’s not giving the same type of drama. I never know what to expect, and that’s what keeps me coming back. The actors in this series are really great!! They are giving a real life view on many subjects that people face everyday, but they way they are expressing it is different than what viewers are accustom to. Totally awesome show!!!!! When I see Lucious on Empire show who is mean, nobody blame him but those girls yess.
For me this show reflect certains reallity in a group there are many character and emotions like jealousy, competition… Every members of the group have a story who brought them here, i don’t like everything on this show but i LOVE this show it’s fresh and new.
Empire its often the same thing, the same story.

I love the show Star….one of my favs. I think the actors and actresses have done an amazing job…both seasoned actors (queen latifah…lovvve her!) and new actors (Amiyah Scott) are all killing it. The show is very relateable and everyone can relate to the story whether u like it or not. PLEASE renew for a 2nd season. This is the show that will keep giving….great job cast and Lee Daniels!!!!
