Star Trek: Deep Space Nine ended after seven seasons on the air, but the man behind the show still thinks about the series, and he is working on a project that will take Star Trek fans inside the workings of Deep Space Nine.
According to Trek Movie, Ira Steven Behr revealed at a recent 50th anniversary event that he is working on a documentary that will look at the series and talk about the lasting impact DS9 had on the Star Trek franchise.
Behr revealed that he brought back the writers of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine to come up with the first episode of season eight, but the writers did more than that. They went beyond the first episode to come up with ideas for an eighth season.
Could this turn into a Star Trek revival? Will Deep Space Nine pop up again? There is no way to know for sure, but there are plenty of revivals already in the works. Star Trek: Discovery is set for release soon too.

Please , please, please bring back Deep Space Nine ! Season 8 would definitely get a lot of attention !
This would be absolutely fantastic. Deep Space Nine was the best of the secondary shows; better than TNG and WAY better than Voyager. Time to get Sisko out of the wormhole.
