Supergirl will return to CBS on Monday night with a brand new episode and a new villain. A villain that has battled her famous cousin Superman in DC Comics.
Movie Web reported that the January 4 episode of Supergirl, titled “Blood Bonds,” will allow fans to see the villain Non in action. He is the husband of Kara’s aunt, and he has been seen only briefly on the series up to this point. Chris Vance has taken on the role.
Movie Web revealed the plot of the episode:
“In Blood Bonds, Astra (Laura Benanti), the evil twin sister of Kara’s mother Alura, is being held in captivity at the DEO. Her husband Non has captured Hank, leading to a tense standoff between the two sides.”
Kara will also have to deal with her boss. Cat Grant, who is played by Calista Flockhart, figured out that her employee is Supergirl. Kara will try to deny it during the episode. The new preview for the episode also teases the possible arrival of Toyman, who may be played by Jeremy Jordan on the series.

I am very stoked about seeing more of Superman’s villains on Supergirl as well as well as new ones to give it an old and new feel. I hope they will have Superboy (Conner Kent) and Ms Martian to help evovle some some of the characters more into their roles.
Melissa Benoist is perfect for the role, and while this a show that is “nothing major”, it’s just what we need as a change from cops, reality shows, and talent contests. Very refreshing!
I love Supergirl on the air as well! This show is awesome, interesting, and the women kick butt on it!
I love this show. Please keep this on the air! It is so nice to see an optimistic, can-do, happy, positive, role model show. The Nay Sayers can say whatever they want. I love Superman! Although, whomever is doing the movies with Henry Caravel(I don’t think his last name right, sorry, I apologize) and Ben Afflack are making them way too self-destructive, destructive with collateral damage, and too dark and too goth. Even for Batman’s style as well and Wonder Woman. But keep the show on CBS!
I love this show. It’s better than I expected and not campy like I thought it might be. Hope it sticks around for a few seasons. Very well done.
