The Alphabet Network is dialing up the heat this summer. ABC has announced the first season debut of its Take Two TV show. This one has been in the offing for a while. The network ordered it straight to series, back in November of 2017. From Castle creators and EPs Terri Edda Miller and Andrew W. Marlowe, Take Two season one will premiere on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 10:00pm ET/PT.
An ABC crime procedural, Take Two stars Rachel Bilson as Sam Swift and Eddie Cibrian as Eddie Valetik. Once upon a time, Sam was the star of a hit TV show, until her big breakdown went public and she retreated to rehab. Meanwhile, Eddie is a private investigator, who is using his skills (begrudgingly) to help her find something very important — a comeback role. Xavier de Guzman, Aliyah O’Brien, and Alice Lee also star.

ABC’S CRIME DRAMA ‘TAKE TWO,’ STARRING RACHEL BILSON AND EDDIE CIBRIAN, PREMIERES THURSDAY, JUNE 21
From ‘Castle’ Creators and Executive Producers Terri Edda Miller and Andrew W. Marlowe
ABC’s “Take Two,” the network’s newest procedural crime series starring Rachel Bilson (“Hart of Dixie,” “Nashville”) and Eddie Cibrian (“CSI: Miami,” “Rosewood”), is set to premiere THURSDAY, JUNE 21, at 10 p.m. EDT.
From Terri Edda Miller and Andrew W. Marlowe, the creators and executive producers of ABC’s highly popular series “Castle,” comes this upbeat detective series that follows Sam Swift (Rachel Bilson), the former star of a hit cop series whose epic breakdown is broadcast to the public and sends her to rehab. Desperate to restart her career, she talks her way into shadowing lone-wolf private investigator Eddie Valetik (Eddie Cibrian) as research for a potential comeback role. Though Eddie resents the babysitting gig, high-spirited Sam uses the skills she learned as an actor playing a cop and proves herself to be surprisingly valuable.
The cast also includes Xavier de Guzman, Aliyah O’Brien and Alice Lee.
“Take Two” is created and executive produced by Terri Edda Miller and Andrew W. Marlowe, along with Studiocanal TV’s Rola Bauer and Tandem Productions’ Tim Halkin. The pilot was directed by John Terlesky. “Take Two” is produced by Tandem Productions and MilMar Pictures in co-production with ABC Studios. “Take Two” was co-developed and co-financed by ABC, VOX and France 2.
What do you think? How do you like the sound of the Take Two TV series? Do you plan to check it out, when it premieres this summer on ABC?
This was a great show which reminded me of movies from the 1940…quick back and forth banter rather than the usual gun battles, pools of blood and car bombs. Please return it so that we are not forced to watch the gory cops and robbers shows!
I love this show Please Please Please renew I can’t wait to see what happens next
It’s one of the few shows I like
I LOVE this show. Was that a real kiss or is somebody dreaming. Please RENEW this series

I love this show. Please renew it!
Excellent show! Please keep it!
I love it
We like it very much with the drama side and comedy side.
I have watched two episodes so far. I want to like this show but it too convoluted. Having Sam have all the right answers or leads make Eddie look kind of ignorant. for a PI he would have more insight and not just jump to conclusion. This needs some revamp writing to create more spark just not there yet, Give the character Eddie more smarts like the team in Castle
Sam slowly took over the main character role & left Eddie in the dust to trail behind her ignorantly. By the 3rd episode, I was turned off. I thought he’s terrific on the show & needs more screen time & belongs as top banana.
Loved it! Great show!
Loved it! Loved Bilson one Hart of Dixie! She and Eddie click I hope it stays on!

I’ll watch the first show to see how good the acting is. Honestly, the reason I’m watching is because I recognized Eddie Cibrian from the Fox show, “Rosewood”. If this show is as good as “Rosewood” then I’ll continue to watch.
Really looking forward to seeing Eddie Cibrian fall in love with Rachel. And all the other women in the vicinity.
I do not watch new shows I do not like watching new shows to many get cancelled I also do not like waiting a year to see the next season to long of a wait for me so it s not worth it I have not watch a new show in years I prefer to watch net flex or go on the internet and watch what I want on you tube I wish the tv net works would make good made for tv movies again.
