The end is coming for The Bonnie Hunt Show after two seasons on the air. Hosted by actress and comedian Bonnie Hunt, the Warner Bros. syndicated show has been struggling in the ratings essentially since it debuted.
The series has stayed on the air for two seasons mainly because NBC-owned stations had made a two-year deal. Warners could have pulled the plug last spring but instead showed faith and hoped that ratings would improve. Now that the agreement is coming to an end, so is The Bonnie Hunt Show.
Hunt reportedly gave the bad news to her staff on Monday morning but the cancellation wasn’t officially confirmed until last night.
By all accounts, the daytime series will remain in production and complete the season so there are lots of new episodes to come.
What do you think? Why did the show fail? Is there no room for more than a couple of daytime talk shows, like The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Oprah Winfrey Show? Or, is there something lacking in Hunt’s show?

I love the Bonnie Hunt Show!!! I have loved all of her shows—–Please don’t cancel this one!!!!
I love the Bonnie Hunt Show too. I’m very disappointed! It seems like everything I like is getting cancelled. Which means that my taste is very good huh? And isn’t the majority. I will miss the show. I hope that someone else will pick it up and keep it on. Come on Bonnie dance or sing or something……lol.
MY HUSBAND AND I LOVE THE BONNIE HUNT SHOW, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE KEEP IT ON THE AIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I AGREE, PLEASE KEEP BONNIE ON THE AIR!!!
Come on guys, PLEASE don’t take the ONE GOOD TALK SHOW OFF THE AIR.
I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY HAVE CANCELED THE BONNIE HUNT SHOW! THE BONNIE HUNT SHOW IS THE TV SHOW THAT I WANT TO SEE ON A DAILY BASIS. I AM DISAPPOINTED IN THE TELEVISION CHOICES WE HAVE…..AND NOW THE FUN ONE IS GOING TO BE GONE.
They always cancel the good stuff and leave on the filth. Bonnie is the only talk show I watch because she is a clean, family show. Her love of animals and her devotion to finding them good homes is so heart warming. And people wonder why I watch the Food Network most the time! Regular tv is becoming garbage! You will be missed Bonnie.
I TOTALLY AGREE!
I love the Bonnie Hunt Show. She is a caring and loving person. I am very sadden by the cancellation of her show. It is one of the best talk shows on TV I never miss it. I hope someone picks up her show.
I love the Bonnie Hunt show. She makes me laugh everyday and that is a BIG PLUS in this day and age. Please keep her show on the air.
The Tonight Show with Bonnie Hunt PLEASE!!! She’d be hilarious “uncensored!”
Bonnie’s show was GREAT….stumbled on it in the 7 a.m. time slot which didn’t do her
justice!….How many of us are free EVERY day at 7 a.m.? We’re not all Tivo ready!!!
Bonnie deserves better!!!!
I think she’d be terrific on late night. I’d watch her or DVR her show anytime…….she’s terrific.
I am very disappointed. I would certainly watch Bonnie if she were on in the evening. How about the Tonight Show with Bonnie Hunt.
Bonnie is so quick witted & funny, it”s the best show on TV as far as I’m concerned, & I hope it get’s picked up by another network.
The Bonnie Hunt show is the best talk show on TV. Bonnie is funny, she is a midwesterner with a wonderful sense of humor, and her crew is a great combination of personalities. I would much rather watch her show than any of the reality junk on the TV today. I will miss her and hope another network gets smart!
I love the Bonnie Hunt Show. I don’t watch often because I am usually at work, but on days off I love to catch her funny quick witted humor
