On each episode of this reality series, two families are faced with a decision that could potentially alter their lives forever.
Hard-working American families who’ve been experiencing financial hard times are presented with a briefcase that contains a very large sum of money — $101,000. They must then make a difficult decision — do they keep all of the money for themselves, or do they give all or part of it to another family in need?
They have 72 hours to learn about the other family’s challenging circumstances and make their choice. What they don’t know is that the other family has received an identical briefcase with the same instructions. Each episode culminates with the reveal of each family’s decisions and viewers are then given an update on how the experience and/or the money has changed their lives.
Series Finale:
Episode #6 — Moyas/Vendely-Salgados

The Vendely-Salgado Family: Amari is unemployed and Natalie is a medical assistant. They have three children, all seven and under. Amari and Natalie’s financial situation hit a rough patch when Natalie was laid off from her position as a medical assistant. She has since found another job, but the time unemployed in-between jobs took a toll on the family. In addition there will be extra expenses for Amari’s transition. He was born female, but after giving birth to two children and living as a woman for most of her adult life, he now lives as a man.

I LOVE THIS SHOW.
Absolutely ridiculous show. Certainly not reality. Most of the contestants make double what middle class Americans make. Our daughter & son in law both teachers with two teenagers do not make what these so called needy people make. The big “Christian”?, gun toting, republican, Texan has a ton of guns, land, and like how many horses? Oh wow he gave the sweet, generous, kind, lesbian couple 25k! Disgusting! Our daughter and son in law cannot afford one horse! Go out into the REAL world and cancel this stupid offensive, unrealistic show. Thank you very much!
Did you watch the episode? The Texan couple were not always in financial headship. I’m sure he had the guns, land and horses before he got injured. As for the lesbian couple, did you see how much they made? More than 100k. I assume you must be a democrat.
I hate the way you allow some of these people take advantage of the opposite contestants. The Texans passing judgement on the couple from Boston but allow the sister-in-law to plead their “giving” nature but DID NOT put anything in about the 2 boys adopted by the 2 mothers. Shame on you! I won’t watch again! Shame on you!
cancel the show this is so stupid,,,
The 1st show was a dream both couples thought about the other couple & exhanged the 100,000. The 2nd show was one got 80,000 and the other got 120,000. Now this last one the Republican Greedy family got 174,600 and the other family got 25,400 so they got screwed. It turns out well if you think of others instead of just yourself. Remember WWJD
CAncel, how can you consider this entertainment, the whole concept is crap
I think it is a great show. I love seeing their story and how the money could change their lives if they take the money. Then it’s heart warming to see how they look at the other family’s needs. How can anyone not like this show. I have a friend that has a 10 year old son that has brain cancer for 3 years now and the mother had to stop working to take care of him. The medical bills and now home repairs are added to their worries and I think about how much that money would change their… Read more »
Like the show ok, but THE BACKGROUND MUSIC IS REDICULIOUSLY LOUD. Tone it down, or I’m gone…………………j
I can’t believe there there has been another episode filled with people who aren’t really needy. Oh wait. Yes I can lol.
I think this show should be about family that have lived with in here means and come up with struggling with losing a job or accident that took away an income not because they are in debt for earlier bad choices in their life, the incomes that you have shown I would live like a queen, I have alway lived in with in my means and 1 income evening though we had 2 incomes, and now have a kid in college that we are paying for, please get in touch with me so I can know what you are doing… Read more »
Leave it on! It’s not the money exchange….it’s how we are all the same. ALL Americans!
I can’t express enough how amazing this show is. I have only gotten to see two of them, but I have cried and felt so emotional throughout the entire show. I was able to watch the show with the ice cream truck family and injured soldier, tonight was the lesbian couple and the couple who lived in Texas. I absolutely love the lives that are changed, including my own just from watching this. I can’t imagine the struggle, the highs and lows these families go through. I applaud the true faith and kindness these families show complete strangers. It is… Read more »
I don’t like his show because the greedy get rewarded and the generous get screwed.
I like the show very much and hope it runs a l season and then run again.
I was all about this show until I seen people on there making 70 and a hundred thousand dollars year. Are you kidding me? Most middle class families are making 50 thousand a year. Barely above the poverty level. I for one am a single mother taking care of my ailing father making 40 thousand a year. I know I cannot afford another child so I don’t have one. I don’t buy anything that I know I could not afford to pay for on unemployment because I know my job is in jeopardy every day. I definitely feel like you… Read more »
