What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network, The Chase TV series is hosted by Sara Haines. The game show is a fast-paced competition where three competitors must use their wits and knowledge to face off against the Chaser, a ruthless quiz genius who is determined to stop the contestants from winning cash prizes. In each episode, contestants are challenged to think faster than they ever thought possible, to answer up to 166 questions across all topics. Jeopardy! trivia masters James Holzhauer, Ken Jennings, and Brad Rutter are joined by Mark Labbett (from the original UK version of the show) and they each take turns serving as the Chaser.
Season Two Ratings
The first half of the second season of The Chase (which aired during the 2020-21 season) averaged a 0.48 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.62 million viewers in the live+same day ratings (includes all DVR playback through 3:00 AM). Compared to season one, that’s down by 30% in the demo and down by 23% in viewership.
The second half of the second season of The Chase (which aired during the 2021-22 season) averaged a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.37 million viewers in the live+same day ratings (includes all DVR playback through 3:00 AM). Compared to season one, that’s down by 55% in the demo and down by 49% in viewership.
While these numbers don’t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel. Will ABC cancel or renew The Chase for season three? This show did well in its first season which aired earlier this year. The series fits in well with the network’s a growing staple of summer game shows so, I think it will be renewed. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. This show is so annoying that they allow audience to clap and it’s hard to here the questions. I want to participate!! Stop clapping
Amy Schneider should be offered a “Chaser” spot.
Personally, I don’t believe Amy Schneider lost on Jeopardy, but deliberately gave it away. There were too many easy questions she never answered, but instead let the other contestants answer and win.
She has said in interviews that she was getting tired. Doing 5 games per day for two days, then having to complete a week of work at her job in less time and commuting back and forth. It’s exhausting and eventually catches up with people.
Ken Jennings is a natural for the host of Jeopardy. If NBC doesn’t give him that spot then ABC should renew season 3 of “The Chase” and give Ken a permanent spot as the beast.

I thoroughly enjoy this fast payeah fast paced, challenging and delightfully fun game show. Sarah Haynes keeps it moving so fast and is so personable

I Love this show
First get rid of Holzhauer. I have become very tired of of his attitude.when he was chaser the last time I changed the channel. He didn’t even come down after his big loss? I wish you could bring Brooke back. I really enjoy the old show Too bad you couldn’t get the originals. I ithink you ratings would be much higher. Thanks.
The Chase is my favorite show. Why is it gone?
What happened to the new Chase. I watch the old Chase everyday and I have watch every one of the new Chase. I love the Chase but it needs Brooke. She is entertaining and funny.
I agree. It is much better with Brooke Burns.
I liked it with Brook Burns better too. So much faster then the new host but I do love the show. I like the new format too.
