After having to endure nearly a year of rumors and false hopes, fans of The Game are finally getting the news they’ve been waiting for.
First airing on UPN, The Game began as a spin-off of the long-running comedy, Girlfriends. The series centers around a first year medical student (Tia Mowry) who chooses to follow her pro-football boyfriend (Pooch Hall) to San Diego. Others in the cast include Brittany Daniel, Coby Bell, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Hosea Chanchez, and Barry Floyd.
In September, news surfaced about the show being revived but nothing happened. In October, there were more rumors but still nothing happened. Then, in November, the cast reunited on The Mo’Nique Show. Promos showed the host asking the cast if The Game was coming back but that portion was edited out of the final broadcast without explanation.
Last month, a much stronger rumor about The Game’s return surfaced with the show’s stars insinuating that an actual announcement would be forthcoming.
Today, BET made it official. The Game will be coming back in the last few months of this year.
There’s no definitive word yet on how many episodes have been commissioned or if some or all of the castmembers will return. We’ll keep you posted as details become available.

Hurray!!!! I so miss this show and everybody. I still was wondering what they was doing after The Game got cancelled. I saw a few cast members doing other stuff, which is good, but The Game was home. Thank you BET. Lift every voice and sing.
OMG My girlfriend contacted me to let me know my favorite show was coming back to television. My boyfriend and I watch the Syndicated show The Game. As a matter of Fact we have it on our recorded playlist at home. We are looking forward to see the out come of the show.
yay!!! i cant wait for the new episodes…i am going through a situation tht is so similar to melanie & derwin that it is ridiculous…&i need to watch more of of them so that i can make the right choice for me…
I am so excited that The Game is coming back! I love this show and I would be disappointed if the whole original case didnt came back but I would be okay if the original Melanie, Malik, Derwin, Tausha, and Jason came back.
OMG!!!! I am so happy the GAME is back, I’ve been watching over and over wondering why they play all the way to the end and repeating it all over again. I still watched it cause I love the show and “I love all of the cast”…The show is funny and so the script is REAL, they didn’t change things around to make it proper. I am so glad The Game is coming back on, I was 1 of those that have been watching the show from day 1. I hope that they don’t take any of the old case members out, I seen the show with other case members and its not pretty. So please bring back the show and all the present case members. Thanks

OMG !!! T he Game was one of the best sitcoms on telivision,if not the best. The original cast had chemistry. Im afraid with a new cast it want be the same.PLEASE PLEASE bring it back we miss it!!!!!!!!!!!!
