TV show description:
Melanie Barnett (Tia Mowry) is a young an intelligent first-year medical student who is the girlfriend of a professional football rookie named Derwin Davis (Pooch Hall). Melanie passes up the opportunity to attend Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore to be with Derwin after he is chosen to play for the San Diego Sabers.
As Melanie tries to adjust to her new football life, she gets guidance from Tasha Mack (Wendy Raquel Robinson), the mother and manager of Sabers’ starting quarterback — hot-headed Malik El Debarge Wright (Hosea Chanchez). Level-headed Kelly Pitts (Brittany Daniel) is the wife of the Sabers’ captain, cheap Jason Pitts (Coby Bell), and welcomes Melanie with open arms and helpful advice.
The series is a spin-off of Girlfriends.

Tasha panics when Pookie accidentally shoots Rick Fox. Chardonnay and Rick bond when she drives him to the hospital. At the urging of Blue, Malik leads the Sabers to a comeback win, which sends them to the playoffs. Kelly and Jason sell their soul to Herbie Lesser to help Jason keep his coaching job. Malik pulls out all the stops when he proposes to Keira. Chardonnay gets a surprising déjà vu after she wakes up in Las Vegas. And Tasha finally gets her happy ending.

I love this show. As a black, female college student who’s majoring in screenwriting I will admit that the writing during the midpoint of its 3rd season was pretty shotty. However, that can be fixed by getting better writers. Just because you have a lot of drama doesnt make it a good show. The show was at it’s prime during its 1st season and the drama was tastfully done. 2nd season was just as good. But the 3rd season things started to fall apart. Please don’t cancel the game. There isn’t many shows that involves african american’s every day life. Why would you cancel if you get more viewers watching your network. That’s like just wasting your money. As you can see a lot of people like and enjoy the show. So cancel and you will regret because sooner or later people will stop watchin CW.
