As fans of The Glades know all too well, the TV series was cancelled by A&E after four seasons, leaving a big unresolved cliffhanger. TV Line’s Matt Mitovich recently asked star Kiele Sanchez for her thoughts.
Since The Glades was cancelled (and no one I know that watched the show can figure why), will it ever come out who shot Jim on his wedding day? –Peggy
Having already asked Matt Passmore for his take, I more recently asked Kiele Sanchez if she knew who gunned down her TV groom. “I actually like to spread the rumor that [Callie’s] son shot Jim. But no, I have no idea who did it,” said the actress, who is now the female lead on DirecTV’s Kingdom (premiering Oct. 8).
Beyond that, Sanchez had no “optimistic news” to offer regarding any follow-up. As for her own Season 5 wish list, she hoped to see Manus’ and Carlos’ home lives explored, as well as see what married life is like for Callie, Jim and “a kid going through the awful teenage years.”
What do you think? How do you think the cliffhanger should have been resolved? Would you liked to have seen Jim and Callie as a married couple?
Why oh why would they do that to the viewers??? Please bring it back & resolve the horrible ending!
Honestly I am wondering why I bother to watch these Series at all. Yes they capture my attention but in whatever season they end it is as though the writers have all been fired and the producer/director is just shooting whatever until the last episode does not end properly or at all. So you go from interesting series to garbage in one fell swoop. Honestly you guys ought to discover another profession as tv series is not your forte.
Bring it back. Please. Give us a better ending.
I really hope to see a season 5. Just to leave us hanging was not cool
Even after almost 10 years has passed, I’m still mad as hell at A&E for ending/canceling The Glades that left the show on a huge cliffhanger. After watching the last episode back in 2013 and seeing how it ended, I swore I would never watch another A&E show, ever. And I haven’t ever since. In terms of who’d shot Jim, like others have suggested here, it was probably Ray or his mother. Even though Ray’s credit cards were being used in Oregon, however, he could have gave his card to someone to use in his place, while he goes to… Read more »
I think the ex-Husband RAY killed him. The WITSEC Marshall guy Tony was in on helping RAY get away, telling Jim that Ray was still in Oregon….. It sets up an alibi with his debit card being used in Oregon when Longworth was shot, and would have taken a season to resolve it.
Watched on Hulu years later and shocked when I saw the last episode Not Fair to leave fans stranded like that
a & e is notorious for doing stuff like that…I believe it’s do to the fact of what we all know now to be known as woke or simple knowledge of what’s called socialism. God forbid you can’t have a good down-to-earth family cop show on these days…
This so wrong and disrespectful to the viewers in every way.
My husband and I just finished watching The Glades on Hulu! Never have I been more disappointed in the final show of a series! Very disappointing and irresponsible ! We loved that show and were so upset at the way it ended! Not fair!!
I think A&E has no regards for the viewers of their network. The Glades was one of my favorite shows on any network and for it to be cancelled with a cliffhanger that fans deserve to know the outcome was a totally irresponsible move. I’ll think twice before watching another A&E series in case it had the same outcome. I am really upset with them.
As to who shot Jim, I feel like Ray’s Mama shot him, but because of A&E’s disrespect of fans, I guess we will never know.
I think it was Ray or Ray’s mom that shot Jim
The Glades was one of the best series on tv. It’s criminal for A&E to end it the way they did. I would never start watching another of their series for fear they would do the same thing to the fans again!! Shame on you A&E!!!!
It has to be one of three people who shot him. I’m betting on GA.
I can’t believe a network would cancel leaving a ending like that I wish I never watched
Yes they should have gotten married. I was so disappointed on how the show ended and cancelled. The show was at a good point keeping you on your toes on the situation with Ray and if secrets were going to come out and then just stopped with many unanswered questions. Very disappointed would have loved to see another season.
That was my favorite show the way they ended it wasn’t fair to the fans. They could have made one of two more so we could have seen our love story with an ending
A&E totally suck for not filming one more episode for the fans! Beyond awful!
