There’s good news down in South Florida. A&E has renewed their freshman TV show, The Glades for a second season.
The Glades follows Jim Longworth (Matt Passmore), a Chicago detective moves to South Florida and takes a job with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Other series stars include Kiele Sanchez, Carlos Gomez, Uriah Shelton, Jordan Wall, Michelle Hurd, and Eric Wormsley.
The series has been a solid performer for cable channel A&E since it debuted on June 11th of this year. It’s been averaging more than three million viewers each week with about a third of those in the 18-49 target demographic.
A&E has ordered 13 installments for year two. Pre-production is expected to begin later this year with episodes airing on Sunday nights sometime in 2011. Season one is scheduled to finish airing on October 3rd.

Have been waiting “not to patiently” for season 2…
I think this was one of the best shows to come out, just wish we didn’t have to wait so long for it to return. The chemestry between the two stars is fantastic, can’t wait to see what happens this season. I am also above the normal viewers age I guess as my husband and I are in our 60’s and both love it.
Love this show, can’t wait for season 2. Wish it had more than 13 episodes.

Just hunting to see what happened to this show. Had heard it was renewed but then never saw it again. Am glad to see it is returning…..I enjoyed this show.
I love this show! I am not in the target age! I am 79 and proud of it! I love this show, I also love Leverage, White Collar, Law and Order, Memphis Beat. Law and Order, CI, Law and Order, UK, I love detective shows, good ones that is. I watch Murder she Wrote in reruns. So, keep these shows on the air, but not in the same time slot, please.
