TV show description:
Patrick Jane (Simon Baker), a consultant with the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI), pays attention to the details. As he stands at a crime scene, he shifts his gaze over the particulars that others often miss and mentally sorts through the information. His surveillance skills have repeatedly helped the CBI solve serious crimes.
He’s well known within the organization for his observation skills, as well as his past scam work when he pretended to be a psychic medium. What his fellow agents don’t know is that Patrick’s intense dedication to solving crimes stems from the losses he’s suffered in his personal life.
Patrick’s crime-solving methods are unconventional to be sure and Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) is opposed to him joining her unit. It’s not always easy for her to admit when Patrick is right but she’s always quick to criticize when he crosses the line.
The other members of her team include Kimball Cho (Tim Kang), Wayne Rigsby (Owain Yeoman), and rookie Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti). They’re all united in their opinion of Patrick. While he is reckless, Patrick is both dedicated and skilled at solving cases. The proof is in the details.

Lisbon and Jane decide to get married but a killer named Lazarus is bent on revenge and tries to take their happy ending. He’s ultimately arrested and the lovebirds get to enjoy their special day with friends and family in attendance.

Can we start an online Petition to bring it back? CBS cancelled it so we don’t want to deal with CBS…..then who can we send it to? TNT? NBC? ABC? We can say we want it back and with all our signatures maybe they can be assured of ratings? I’d sign something to bring it back!
I’ve been looking arround through the internet, but hasn’t found that kind of petition yet. Please let me know if there is any petition to bring it back. There are some facebook fans page for The Mentalist, I wonder why don’t they interest in making the petition for another season. The Mentalist is one of the best tv show for me, the stories and characters are great.

Renew please..go to season 8, bring patrick and theresa with marriage life and still working together in FBI to catch all of Blake Association member, and still teasing each other. Show us Jane finish the house, show us Jane give Theresa’s old picture as birthday gift maybe, show us the new team of FBI, bring back Masburn or also Kristina Frye..
This show needs to be renewed simply because the re boot was spectacular and the writing for the 7th season was so intelligent. The ratings for this show surpassed shows that were renewed already. Renew and pick it up for another network.
Loved this show….Loved Saving Grace and Medium also. Networks decide instead to have fat butted reality shows…..

Get rid of some of the junk stupid shows and cater to people with some brains who enjoy this program!!! UGH!!!!!!!
while the story lines were getting a little tired……..still one of the most entertaining shows….some new writers and some guest appearances could have kept this series going for another 2 years… too bad……

I hope the t.v. stations are reading our comments! They NEED to renew The Mentalist. Nothing else on t.v. is as good, and not worth watching.

I hope CBS pays the price for not renewing the most tasteful show on t.v. Who are they choosing to cater to now with silly shows! The story line, the cast and the light drama/humor/mystery was absolute genius! I hope the show gets picked up by another station quickly!

Disappointed, wanted the show to continue. Interesting characters, great stories. Seems like the wrong programs are taken off…bring it back!!
