FOX found ratings success with New Girl last season and now they’re trying The Mindy Project. Will the network find even better numbers or could the TV show be quickly cancelled instead?
The Mindy Project revolves around a young female OB/GYN (Mindy Kaling) who’s intelligent and has a politically incorrect sense of humor. She’s also a hopeless romantic who hasn’t had much luck finding what she needs in her personal life. Her co-workers don’t exactly help.
Others in the cast include Chris Messina, Ed Weeks, Ike Barinholtz, Stephen Tobolowsky, Zoe Jarman, Amanda Setton, and Anna Camp.
Once the other networks have their shows in place, The Mindy Project will air opposite ABC’s Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23, Emily Owens, MD on The CW, The New Normal on NBC, and NCIS: Los Angeles on CBS. FOX has ordered 13 episodes of The Mindy Project to start.
Before you share your opinion below, here are some previews:
So, what do you think? Will The Mindy Project be a big hit, a moderate success, or quickly cancelled? Will you tune in, DVR the show, or skip it altogether? Do you think previewing and releasing the first episode online will help or hurt the show’s ratings?
Best show on tv.
Jumped the shark. Not on DVR list any longer.
Please cancel this show is waste of network time. Terrible she is not funny or easy on the eyes…
Love this! Clever writing, comedic timing and an adorable lead, Mindy. Please renew this show!!
OH GOD FAIL. I didn’t like her in the Office or the 40yr old virgin, she’s not funny just flat annoying. Get it off t.v. before anyone has a chance to emulate this dimwit.
[…] belongs to The Office’s Mindy Kaling. Is The Mindy Project worth your time or should it be cancelled […]
Seems like a really nice spot to have in the schedule. The only real competition is CBS.
