Despite low ratings, FOX renewed The Mindy Project once again last spring. If the ratings go lower, will it be cancelled or would this sitcom still be renewed for a fourth season? We’ll have to wait and see.
On The Mindy Project, a talented obstetrician (Mindy Kaling) has a chaotic personal life and struggles to find the elusive perfect relationship. Her workmates are played by Chris Messina, Ed Weeks, Adam Palley, Ike Barinholtz, Beth Grant, and Xosha Roquemore.
Why track the ratings? The higher a show’s ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically the following morning, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/6 update: FOX has cancelled The Mindy Project but Hulu may pick it up for two more seasons.
Final season averages: 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.31 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
Last year comparison: The second season of The Mindy Project averaged a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.55 million total viewers.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you still like The Mindy Project TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
It would be very insensitive and highly ignorant of the producers if they do not renew the Mindy Project. After the last scene of seeing Danny standing at the door of Mindy’s parents, telling them straight to their face how much he loves their daughter, the plot becomes more interesting and real than ever! We want to see the baby grow with Danny and Mindy. For the love of heaven!! We FINALLY get a show that we all can relate, enjoy, and look forward to every Tuesday night, and what do you do?…. you leave people hanging. This is the… Read more »
I binge watch Mindy on cable. The show is diverse, funny and I like the clothes Mindy wears on the show.

Please renew!!!!! We love this show!!!
I hope this show does not get cancelled, it is one of my favorite shows and I love Mindy! I look forward to this show every week so I really hope this show gets renewed.
Please, please, please renew The Mindy Project. One of the funniest shows on TV! Very intelligently written, but hysterically funny!
I really wish the Monday project comes back. It has become a favorite it in my mind. I honestly don’t know what I would do if I don’t see Mindy and Danny as parents. It is amazing show.
The show is great. love seeing a non conventional beauty in a lead role plus it’s super funny!
I watch on Hulu, usually at the end of the season when I can binge watch. I have to clear my schedule to sit down to tv. I feel like viewers like myself aren’t included because we watch in unconventional manners. This is my favorite show. And quite frankly, I have a crush on Danny since his striptease. Please don’t leve me hanging. Bring back my show!
I agree! I watch this show on Hulu religiously and it’s the only one I bother with. I don’t watch any t.v. and think it’s a shame if they don’t count viewers online since many of the people I know are switching to the same method. Please don’t cancel this show!
Just featured to my Mindy Project and it didn’t air. I thought due to easter week that it was probably cancelled or on later tonight. Come to find out it may not air. Hope it continues, this is my favorite show after putting baby down to sleep. So different from other shows.
The thing is the networks don’t really make money off of Netflix or Hulu. I mean they do but they pretty much rent out the show at a set price. . So it doesnt matter if one mill or 5 mil watch on Hulu the network dies not make more money. So ratings when the show air, is all they care about.
Hope the Mindy project continues! My favorite weekly show at this time. I do not own a computer and so I rely on basic TV for my entertainment. I always make sure I am home on Tuesday nights.
