TV show description:
This anthology TV series follows a new case with new characters in a new location each season. The story unfolds over multiple time frames simultaneously.
The first season begins when a five year-old boy named Oliver (Oliver Hunt) disappears while on holiday in France. This event starts a nearly decade-long search for his whereabouts. Viewers are taken inside the mind of the boy’s father, Tony Hughes (James Nesbitt), desperate to locate his lost son.
With help from legendary detective Julien Baptiste (Tchéky Karyo), Tony embarks on an obsessive quest to find his son and those responsible for his disappearance. There are twists and turns at every stage. Tony’s exhaustive search fractures his relationship with his wife, Emily Hughes (Frances O’Connor), and threatens to destroy his life.
In season two, the story begins as a young British woman named Alice Webster (Abigail Hardingham) stumbles through the streets of her hometown in Germany and collapses. She has been missing for 11 years and her return sends shockwaves through the small community of Eckhausen, especially when it is revealed that she may hold vital clues to the whereabouts of another missing girl. Told simultaneously over three timeframes, the series follows Alice’s family as they are thrown back into a turmoil that threatens to tear them apart at the seams. French detective Julien Baptiste (Tchéky Karyo) becomes embroiled in the mystery and races across Europe to pursue a 12-year-old case that he never let die.
Episode #16 — The Mountain
The events that led up to Alice’s return to Eckhausen in 2014 are finally revealed, as Sam and Gemma join Julien in a desperate race against time.
What do you think? Do you like The Missing TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season?
Definitely renew it , that series was great. I would love to see more.
Definitely renew, this is a great series.
Great show . I hope to see next season. I love this very different style of movie/Tv making. a truly different take than American shows
I hope there will be a Season 3. Enjoyed 1 and 2 very much
Best crime drama on television.
THE MISSING SEASON 3 PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

I watched the last season and have watched the first episode of this season. This is one of the best shows on the air, and the person in the role of the French detective is a wonderful actor. It just grieved me to hear he has brain cancer. I hate it when a favorite character on a show that we like is terminally ill! I don’t like that the show might be cancelled, either. It is fascinating, and I hope it turns out better than the first Series did.
What happen to Roger Allam at the end
This is an excellent show with a fantastic look into the complex issues and mind set of all the people affected and involved in a missing person. The evolution of events through time keeps the story alive as it develops with each episode by capturing the viewers attention and anticipation to answer the question, Why.
Love this show. Like having a different “missing” episode each season. Acting is great as well as the plot. Please bring back for another season!
Very interesting and well written ! I like the three time frames it really makes you think
please do not cancel the show it is one of the best shows I have seen beside how to get away with murder. this show is reality at its best. as I have gotten to know what the dark world of evil and this really shows the best of evil, it also teaches you how, you can’t trust what u see. please bring it back
the missing television series is totally perfect; it is so well done; it is the best television series ever seen; please continue to produce the missing.
RENEW !!!!!!!!!!!
need 3rd season for the Missing (excellent show)
After the first 4 or 5 episodes, I was a little put off by Nesbitt’s portrayal of Tony but got over it, and then the final episode aired and it was astonishing. Won’t do the spoiler thing, but the last few minutes were some of the most haunting scenes on TV I’ve ever seen. Gutsy, gritty, great.
_The Missing_ was very entertaining; I understand this series will follow a path like _True Detective_ on HBO and in the second season follow a different story. Hopefully it will be as well done as the first installation; the BBC and STARZ did an excellent job chosing/producing this series. VERY adult; NO nonsense…certanly not the pablum the networks feeds us with the IDIOT reality shows!
