Though it’s done well for The CW, The Originals has never matched the ratings for The Vampire Diaries. As the latter show goes through a creative shakeup this season, could this be the year that the spin-off surpasses it? Is The Originals essentially guaranteed to be renewed for a fourth season because of potential syndication profits or, could it possibly be cancelled? Stay tuned.
A Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals revolves around the world’s first vampires who’ve returned to reclaim New Orleans. The cast includes Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Leah Pipes, Danielle Campbell, Yusuf Gatewood, and Riley Voelkel.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. I love the Originals, show is not the ratings problem it’s the choice of day and time slot. Please don’t cancel it’s right up there with Supernatural, The Flash, and the Arrow.Faithful Follower.

I mean come’on , she’s part witch , part wolf and part vampire . It’ll be real good to see her kick some ass and be a hero to save this messed up family . yeah but seeing as he could only have children sins he triggerd his whearwolf gene and hayley is the only wearwolf he slept with (vampires can not get children) it is absolutlly possible
Well the only reason Klaus can have children now is because he triggered his werewolf gene. He was a vampire for all those years…so no children.
yes I feel that the originals should definitely be renewed, do more cross overs it will help rating for Vampire dairies and the originals. both shows are way better that my crazy ex-girlfriend that stupid show
