ABC hasn’t had much luck launching a new reality show in quite some time so they tried something different this time — The Quest. Is it a ratings success? Will it be renewed for a second season or, will it be cancelled instead?
On The Quest, a dozen everyday people are transported to a fantasy world called Everealm where they have adventures and compete to be the last “true hero” remaining. The cast includes Peter Windhofer, Jan Hutter, Marcello de Nardo, Susanne Gschwendtner, Stephanie Buddenbrock, Florence Kasumba, Mai Duong Kieu, and Doug Tait.
The show debuted at the end of July to a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.82 million viewers. It was a very poor start — even for a summer series — and the numbers have gotten worse as the weeks have gone by.

The season currently averages a paltry 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.96 million viewers. That’s worse than Sing Your Face Off, a celebrity reality show that was burned off on Saturday nights in June.
To be fair, The Quest has had to compete with football games in some markets and has also been preempted by games on some local ABC stations. The ratings are still very, very low however and the network knew that the series would be interrupted when they scheduled it — a sign that they probably had no faith in it.
In the end, it’s highly unlikely that ABC will want to take a chance on ordering a second season of The Quest.

I love the Quest! For a reality competition it is exceptional, it is like watching a movie. There is no back-biting or trash talking, just everyone doing their best to be the one true hero. What is there not to Luv!!!
If ABC screws this up, I am done with them permanently.
I loved the Quest. I found it by accident and then I was hooked!!! Please bring back Everealm to those of us who follow!!!!!
The Quest was brilliant. My husband and I enjoyed watching it together every week. We were sad to see it come to the end. Please renew! Looking forward to next season.
Definitely renew it! It’s easily the best reality show I’ve ever seen! The time slot was not the best and the marketing for the target demographic really wasn’t there. The people that watch this sort of show are the type who watch Game of Thrones. They want it on demand, on Hulu/Netflix and you’re going to advertise to them best through the Internet, Facebook, and at places like Barnes and Noble or GameStop. They’re the dreamers, the ones that are just like the contestants, where they want to be swept away into a magical realm as well.
One of the greatest reality TV shows of all time! I would love to see this show renewed and I would also to tryout and be casted for this show. It would be a dream come true! Just started watching the 1st season. Didn’t even know it existed until last week! Maybe the reason it did poor in rates was lack of marketing. But once people see it I think all love it!!! Please renew for season 2!

Absolutely should be renewed!! Love the show. Super dedicated and involved fan base. Contestants and show staff are all incredibly awesome and friendly. Show is a fun and interesting take on reality television. In fact I’m not even normally a fan of reality television, but it was quite refreshing to see the contestants primarily trying to decide who deserved to stay instead of get rid of the biggest competition. Not to mention paired it up to compete against prime time football. Cannot tell you how disappointed I was to see the Cardinals playing instead of visiting Ever Realm. Bah! Fortunately I’m a HULU Plus subscriber and was able to watch it the next day.

I found this show on hulu and I really enjoy it.What a wonderful premise. To turn boring reality tv into real life action packed heroism is a stroke of genius. This verges on ground breaking. I hope it continues with different themes or maybe more challenges. Please don’t cancel. This actually gives reality tv some class.

When I discovered this program I found a program my husband & I could enjoy together – something we haven’t been able to do in a very long time – we’re both well educated & don’t enjoy much television because it’s not intelligent enough. “The Quest” transported us to another realm – Everealm – and ABC allowed us & thousands others to be liberated from our weekly woes & fears we see on the streets, our televisions, and sometimes, sadly, in our homes.
