ABC hasn’t had much luck launching a new reality show in quite some time so they tried something different this time — The Quest. Is it a ratings success? Will it be renewed for a second season or, will it be cancelled instead?
On The Quest, a dozen everyday people are transported to a fantasy world called Everealm where they have adventures and compete to be the last “true hero” remaining. The cast includes Peter Windhofer, Jan Hutter, Marcello de Nardo, Susanne Gschwendtner, Stephanie Buddenbrock, Florence Kasumba, Mai Duong Kieu, and Doug Tait.
The show debuted at the end of July to a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.82 million viewers. It was a very poor start — even for a summer series — and the numbers have gotten worse as the weeks have gone by.

The season currently averages a paltry 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.96 million viewers. That’s worse than Sing Your Face Off, a celebrity reality show that was burned off on Saturday nights in June.
To be fair, The Quest has had to compete with football games in some markets and has also been preempted by games on some local ABC stations. The ratings are still very, very low however and the network knew that the series would be interrupted when they scheduled it — a sign that they probably had no faith in it.
In the end, it’s highly unlikely that ABC will want to take a chance on ordering a second season of The Quest.

Bring it back, my son wife and I loved watching it together. Next season our triplets will be old enough to watch it with us. It’s so hard to find family entertainment for the entire family.
Finally there is a show with great writers, amazing actors like you would see in the movies, and fantastic scenery. The plot was everything you would expect from Lord of the Rings producers. More television shows should follow this brilliant format.

I absolutely loved The Quest. It is one of the better reality shows that I’ve seen. Please do not cancel this show. I would love to watch a second season. My mom and I watched it together. And maybe it just needs to be advertised more to those who are into fantasy.
I loved The Quest. With out a doubt you should bring this show back! As a LARPer myself this was exciting for me to watch. I thought the story line was engaging and definitely fun to watch. Hello! I’m 13 years old and me and my younger sister watched the Quest with my mom and dad. We loved it sooooo much and kept waiting for when the next episode would come out. I would just die if they didn’t bring it back, especially after that teaser at the end of the last episode. BTW, I had always hoped Crio was the traitor. please please please bring The Quest back!!!!! It’s my new favorite show next to Psych and Once Upon A Time. My vote is YES
I loved the Quest! It was a show myself and my 11 year old son could watch together!!!! We are reality show junkies and the fantasy land experience was something new and unique! Please bring it back for another season!!!!!!!
Bring it back for season 2. It was a good family show.
Oh please keep it!!! This is the first reality show where you see honor, loyalty, and real heart. Not greed or ego. The concept is amazing. Plus I would rock this show. I think that if it had been given the right PR, say with Will Wheton mentioning it on his show, or any on the other gamer shows, it might have gotten more followers. I love The Quest! I found it refreshing to be able to watch a reality series that was not about a bunch whiney, pouty, crying bachelors and bachelorettes. I can’t let my 11 year old watch most shows on prime time television and, quite frankly, all that kissing and “who slept with who” crap got old for my after about 2 seasons. 10 years of that is way more than enough. The Quest is so unique and very entertaining. It’s one of the few shows my whole family will watch together. I hope it gets renewed because where can you find another show like this out there on any network?? Nowhere. I think the ratings would be A LOT better if there were just more commercials and ads for it on TV and online so more people know about it!
