The CW is starting over on Monday nights. They’ve cancelled both Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People after one season apiece.
On The Tomorrow People, a teenager (Robbie Amell) discovers that he has paranormal abilities. He also learns that others like him have gone into hiding because they’re being hunted by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra. The rest of the cast includes Luke Mitchell, Peyton List, Aaron Yoo, Mark Pellegrino, and Madeleine Mantock.
The drama debuted back in October and aired on Wednesday nights, paired with the network’s popular Arrow series. It performed well in the beginning but the ratings fell over the course of the season, dropping as low as a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.24 million viewers.
The series moved to Monday nights and lost even more viewers. In last April, The Tomorrow People hit a series low, drawing just 760,000 viewers.
The season (now series) finale, which aired this week, left plenty of story opportunities for a second season but it won’t be happening.

I too like the others have been watching this on Netflix and CW, really enjoy this series. I do not know how the executives get the numbers for viewers. This is such a creative series like the others Arrow, Flash, Warehouse 13, Reign, Etc. Please take another look into bringing this to season two. You need to be patient, and let the people find the series, and then fall in love with it. I like all the actors, so much fun to watch. So sad you give up to quickly.
The Tomorrow People was one of the best tv shows I’ve ever watched. I cannot believe they would cancel such an amazing show! They drop us when we figure out Stephen cannot just stop time, but also rewind time?!?! I thought CW was supposed to be a broadcasting company… I was wrong. It’s more like a Broadway knockoff run by a dog.
This is so stupid, if the y wanted to cancel the show the could have done it better by making someone die or sonethong, and it’s not only this it star crossed as well. If they can’t get anymore ideas on how to make the show better they can call me I sure in heck can do it better yet why not ask viewers how they feel, if it should continue or call it quits. I hate that they cancelled this show! Most people don’t watch new shows until the first season shows up on netflix! They didn’t even give the show a chance!
this is the best show on cw i have every seen , even compared to supernatural ,and the flash. There needs to be a season two.
Like most people who commented here, I saw this on Netflix. I didn’t think I would like it but I was proven wrong. I love the futuristic feel of the show. I wouldn’t mind it ending if it was completed. For example: If humans learn to except them and they don’t have to be hiding anymore. Where The CW left it off had SO much opportunity. Agreed! Was so nice to find a show that was interesting, fun AND had some morals. We need more like this… not have them cancelled.
CW is done, what idiots decided to kill off Tomorrow People!? This is like Butterfly Effect but with such a rich world and so much more potential and layers, it might not have had the highest views at the time, but serious noise is going on around it now it’s had a bit of time to spread, but it’s now been canned, wtf?.. What a waste of such a great show, gutted this won’t continue.

I don’t think it’s fair! Both star-crossed and the tomorrow people are good series, and both got cancelled! How come there are TV shows with 10 or more seasons but these two can’t even continue after the first season ?? Why start a series if it won’t be continued?

I think that is was a stupid idea of cancelling the show because i love these kind a of tv shows and I think people do too like arrow, marvels agents if shield and the Brest tv to air the flash and I love all of these shows so I vote there should be a season 2 !!!!! This is most likely one of the best shows I’ve ever watched and I can’t believe its been canceled.
This is wrong we need to see what will happen to them and if anything will go on and we need to get john back it leaves the imagination open for more but when waiting for season 2 we will all be disappointed
