The CW is starting over on Monday nights. They’ve cancelled both Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People after one season apiece.
On The Tomorrow People, a teenager (Robbie Amell) discovers that he has paranormal abilities. He also learns that others like him have gone into hiding because they’re being hunted by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra. The rest of the cast includes Luke Mitchell, Peyton List, Aaron Yoo, Mark Pellegrino, and Madeleine Mantock.
The drama debuted back in October and aired on Wednesday nights, paired with the network’s popular Arrow series. It performed well in the beginning but the ratings fell over the course of the season, dropping as low as a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.24 million viewers.
The series moved to Monday nights and lost even more viewers. In last April, The Tomorrow People hit a series low, drawing just 760,000 viewers.
The season (now series) finale, which aired this week, left plenty of story opportunities for a second season but it won’t be happening.

This show got axed for Beauty and the Beast to stay on. That show wasn’t bad, but it definitely wasn’t as good as The Tomorrow People.

Just finished binge watching the entire first season with my mom and we both loved we skipped countless meals and grew closer now, I have to let her done after she got her hopes up about a season. This is will break her heart as it did mine.
First of all, maybe I don’t know anything about how TV shows work but I don’t see how 1.24 million viewers is considered a “low.” Second of all, I didn’t know anything about this show in the beginning because I don’t have cable and I don’t have time to watch TV. Right when I saw this show on Netflix it caught my eye and when I started watching, I couldn’t stop. What are these ratings/views based on? People actually tuning onto a tv channel and watching it when it comes out? ~ Or including netflix among all the other sites that can host it? ~ What a shame.
I think it is dumb how your guys are canceling this series. It barely even started… It ended very bad and I was getting into this show so much. Finished season one in just three days it was that good! You can’t do this to us especially how you ended it…come on. You need to make another season…please

I love this show. I am almost finished with season 1. Was looking to see if I could start the next season and WOW! No season 2!? Really?! Who decides these things in the end? It’s definately not the people actually watching because I see HORRIBLE shows like Arrow making it and when I ask others their opinion they say the same as me….They love this show. Ugh…Terrible let down.
I believe what caused this show to fall in the ratings was the confusing relationships between the main characters. People like a thrill but they also would like to see the hero get the girl.
Also they waited much to long for the main character to step up and use his powers.

Whyyy!!! I just finished season 1 on netflix! CW cant just cancel the show, so much people still want a season 2. Plus really the ending, this show needs a season 2. No one likes to stay hanging just wondering the possibilities of what can happen next. There is just too much unanswered questions.
omg the have to have a season two I loved the first episode I couldn’t stop watching I just finished watching the whole season and it left me wonting more you need to continue with it I wont to see what happens. CW… ugh. Why you make the choices you do???? The tomorrow people has some of the best writing and plot twist. Just found it on Netflix just started watching it and now no season two? You should bring it back one of your better written shows I just don’t think people knew about it and but will because of netflix. You would get the following you need. It’s better than some of your other shows and more original than Vampire Diaries.
