TV show description:
This dramatic series revolves around a generation of humans who have been born with paranormal abilities.
Up until a year ago, Stephen Jameson (Robbie Amell) was a regular teenager but one day, he began hearing voices and teleporting in his sleep. He never knew where he might wake up. Now, Stephen’s issues have gone far beyond the usual teenage angst, and he’s beginning to question his sanity.
Out of desperation, Stephen decides to listen to one of the voices in his head, and it leads him to his first encounter with John (Luke Mitchell), Cara (Peyton List), and Russell (Aaron Yoo) — the Tomorrow People. They’re a genetically advanced race with the abilities of telekinesis, teleportation and telepathic communication.
The Tomorrow People are being hunted down by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra. Led by Dr. Jedikiah Price (Mark Pellegrino), Ultra sees the Tomorrow People as a very real existential threat from a rival species, and the outcast group has been forced to secretly live in an abandoned subway station just beneath the surface.
Trading in secrets, Jedikiah offers Stephen the chance for a normal life with his family and best friend, Astrid (Madeleine Mantock), but only if he will help in the struggle to isolate and eradicate the Tomorrow People.
On the other hand, Cara, John and Russell offer Stephen a different type of family and a home where he truly belongs.
Unwilling to turn his back on humanity or the world of the Tomorrow People, Stephen sets out on his own path — a journey that may take him into the shadowy past to uncover the truth about his father’s mysterious disappearance.
Episode #22 — “Son of Man”
Russell realizes his alliance with The Founder (guest star Simon Merrells) was a mistake, and tries to make up for his decision by saving Cara from an Ultra ambush. Stephen understands that he must be the one to stop The Machine and the extermination of humanity, but he fears he may be too late. Russell offers up a plan to help Stephen, but he is going to need everyone’s help, including John and Astrid, if they are going to have any chance to survive. Meanwhile, Jedikiah offers John an interesting opportunity that could have them working together again.
First aired: May 5, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like The Tomorrow People TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I am in love with The Tomorrow people, it had such a great story and the way season one ended it left so many opportunities for a great show. It was only given one season to test out its colors I think you should bring it back and give it another chance.
Please!! Please bring the tomorrow people back!!! I have watched the entire first season in 3 days while being snowed in!! I love it!!
I love the tomorrow people ! I’m finishing it up on Netflix right now . And I agree with all the others who think that the show should be renewed for more seasons !
The tv company are decide what we watch and pick programmes which ate cheap and cheerful and trash tomorrow people was popular nut because the ratings low cancel after the first season stop being so negative and bring tomorrow people back
Bring bk the tomorrow people. Bring bk the tomorrow people. Bring bk the tomorrow people!!!!!!!!
I agree with all the others who watched it on Netflix… I loved it and hope they can bring it back
Loved the tomorrow people as I seen it on Netflix seems like every one wonts more so do I !!
LOVED the tomorrow people!!!!!! Now that I saw it on Netflix, I want more.
I still rate the show at 5 stars.
As time goes on – the network has no new data to tell them this is a GOOD series – only people looking at the original show on Netflix.
This is a hard problem to resolve – network has no new data – except people looking at the original show.
Maybe the network could a ‘pilot follow-up’ & get viewer ratings.
The longer the Network waits – the actors & Writers’ will move on to other jobs – and a Very good Series will be lost !!
You always cancel good shows and leave these ******** reality shows. People want shows that make them forget about everyday problems for a little while. Not crap that shows other dumbass rejects and there made up problems. Way to go CW.
Duplicate comments segments – showed up. Sometime duplicate things need to be repeated – so they will be taken in earnest.
One more time – 2 to 3 more seasons scheduled at a decent time – and watch the season grow!!!
I vote again – add 2 or 3 more seasons – at a decent schedule – and watch the ratings rise. !!!!
I started watching this show on netflick – thought it was GREAT (5) STARS. I would recommend this show to many people I DID NOT SEE ADVERTIZING about this show – or i would have watched it sooner. Good advertising about a new show – gets tv views out front of a new show. It probably has about 20% to 30% chance for the series to resume – (good writers, good actors, & top notch si-fi tie-in make the rest of a GOOD Series. I definitely give 5 STARS to “The Tomorrow People” . Hope I will see the series… Read more »
I am disappointed in the fact that there has yet to be a definite answer to the fact of whether the show the tomorrow people has been canceled but I believe it was a really good series and could be made to a good 4 to 5 season series but it was cut short. Another issue I believe was the air time. It was aired later at night so I believe it made it difficult for anyone to stay up and watch. I am hoping you change your minds and make a couple more seasons. Thanks.
I watched the series on Netflix after my husband found it and was extremely disappointed to find out there was only one season 🙁 I saw a posting stating it might be coming back in summer of 2015…I really hope that’s accurate since the finale left fans of the show wanting more, including us!!!
