NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

I loved the village as did a lot of other people I don’t understand why its being cancelled. I finally found something I love and now its not returning . I just don’t get why they leave shows on that people don’t care about and take the good ones off, makes me sad hope they will reconsider
I love the village and the enemy within I can understand why these shows were cancelled they were probably the three best shows on TV they seem to cancel the good drama shows and keep all these reality shows what you’re stupid like big brother and the island one which is the same thing only different locations and the bachelor and bachelorette those are so stupid

I am sick that The Village has been canceled. This show is wonderful and lovely. We need more shows like this. I always looked forward to Tuesday nights to watch the show. Great characters, great acting and wonderful real-life stories. I just loved it. Now we are left hanging on many outcomes. Bad decision NBC to cancel one of my favorite shows. If at all possible PLEASE bring back this show.
I am so disappointed that you are canceling The Village as it was one of the best TV shows this season. I think you should reconsider this decision. Are you going to replace it with some nitwit show or another sex and murder show. I hope this show is picked up by another channel and you lose a lot of viewers.
The Village was a wonderfully written show about real life problems and intricate relationships. I am very frustrated and sad that it was canceled and there will be no second season. As a frequent TV watcher, I am reluctant to get involved with new shows because so many of them end up getting canceled. Please bring back a season two of the Village!!!

I loved The Village. Very disappointed that it’s not coming on again. It was a great show. I am so sick of all the realty shows on, The Bachelor etc. Please bring back The Village!,

I agree with all these people. The Village was a good wholesome show. I record all the programs I want to watch so I had the whole season recorded. I watched the whole season in two days it was so good. Very disappointed.

Both my neighbor and I love the Village. We are very upset by this cancellation of the Village. It should have been given another season to see what another season would bring.
I am so disappointed in NBC…this is a great example of what is wrong with major network TV….and why you are seeing more disloyalty from your viewers who are now moving to streaming options – you invite your show into our homes and then show no loyalty for what you have presented to your viewers. You don’t give first season A chance because you always conceal it before. You know if it any good. I think you need to make the village season two. It better then what you give it a chance. I love the show
Seriously? Moron’s, this is a wonderful and emotional uplifting show! The best series I’ve seen in a long time…the world is broken right now and this show related with such a a beautiful cast. This is a show the world needs now…done with all TV stations… I’ll stay with the BBC or Korean TV shows…they don’t just give up ASSHATS
