NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

I really enjoyed The Village and sooo sorry it was cancelled. I’m 62 year old, white female who thought it was great! DVR’d it and watched on treadmill. Made time go very quickly. Reconsider please!!!!
Once again one of the good shows gets cancelled. Every season it seems the best shows are cancelled. I hate watching TV for this very reason.
I LOVED THE VILLAGE. They asked too limited of a group. I’m 59 and I was looking forward to the next season.
Why cancel a really good show?
BRING BACK THE VILLAGE.. maybe put it back on in the off season of the higher rated shows and then the Village ratings will increase

We are very disappointed that the village was cancelled. We are seniors and really enjoyed the village . It was a show that was very real to life true definition of realty show about real life struggles, hope and helping others Not like all they the phony reality filled with trash talking, bickering fighting , cussing . The same people moving from reality show to reality show. Just previews of those shows are sickening.
I loved watching “The Village” and I would continue to watch it. So sad to hear it was cancelled. Please bring it back

I liked the Village and cannot believe it was cancelled. I hate reality shows and would never watch them. They cancel all the good shows. Maybe cbs will pick it up. They have better shows
I have been waiting for the start of the second season of The Village. I can’t believe NBC cancelled another good show and continues all the moronic reality shows. I was also very disappointed with the cancellation of Bluff City Law.

Very disappointed. Why do good shows get cancelled and these horrible reality tv series continue. This show had a lot to offer and I got people hooked on it.
I just found this out today! I was looking for the start date for Season 2! This is tragic! A great show. Great actors. You can change your mind! Just start filming again!
