Though the cast and crew of The Whole Truth will get to finish filming their 13 episode commitment, there’s no guarantee viewers will get to see them any time soon. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the show had been cancelled by ABC. Now, it looks like the network is pulling the legal drama from the schedule for the whole month of November.
As previously announced, next week’s episode will be preempted by the interview special In the Spotlight With Robin Roberts: All Access Nashville. The following week, the entire Wednesday night line-up is bumped for the Country Music Awards.
After that, Whole Truth is being replaced by a pair of celebrity specials. On November 17th, ABC will air 25 Years of Sexy: People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive!. The following week, Primetime: Celebrity Plastic Surgery Gone Too Far? will take the timeslot.
It’s unknown if The Whole Truth will return in December or if ABC will keep the remaining nine episodes sitting on the shelf.
What do you think? Will ABC air the rest of the The Whole Truth episodes soon, over the summer, or never?

ABC is on the verge of making a serious error. NBC almost did the same years ago with “West Wing” and we all know how that turned out. That show took some time to establish a huge audience with great ratings and awards galore, which is the same outcome that awaits the “WT” if the poohbahs at ABC weren’t so short minded. The “WT” like “WW” and “ER” is a serious property with more comedic content. And, like the aforementioned, besides the wonderful work and character development of the two leads, “WT” is a wonderful teaching tool(and I say that… Read more »
I just started watching this show on my DVR. I usually like to check out new shows but this one I waited a little while to start getting caught up on. When I did start watching I was surprised how much I liked it and I think a lot of the appeal is the characters. I think the networks are too fickle. They don’t give something a chance to build an audience. And I think the result is that a lot of the shows I was enjoying last year got canceled and when I start enjoying something, it gets canceled,… Read more »
this was an excellent show and I am missing it – let’s see what they filemd and give it a chance to come back
I loved the show!! Can’ believe the are canceling the show!!!!!
I’m going to cry now. I just found out it was cancelled after not finding it on my hulu queue. This is a horrible decision and ABC should definitely rethink it. It was provacative, thoughtful and intelligently put together. Awful call on their part. Seriously, BOOOO ABC.
I love this show and hope they bring it back. The whole cast were all wonderful.
This show should have NEVER been cancelled. I kept waiting for it to come back. The endings were always clear and shows drama that tied the show together …. I agree with the above …. Shame on you ABC …. There are several shows axed: i.e. Lonestar, Outlaw etc. that really were disappointing …. I love Rob Morrows acting and the character he played…..This show kept you guessing and twists and turns…. true entertainment … BRING IT BACK
ABC finally got a good show and then gets cancelled,
What are you guys thinking?
Get rid of DWTS and the rest of the junk you air.
People out here like intelligent shows
I loved this show! why do networks do this? Two great leading actors and a good vehicle. Please consider bringing this back. Your network needs an adult drama.
It is a very good show. We look forward to all the endings. They are thoughtful and give closer to the show. It is a good evolution from “Law and Order”. Hope they rethink it.

I agree with Marylee, this was a great show and I hope we get to see the final 9 episodes. I am so sick and tired of great shows being removed that appear to be different, i.e. Life on Mars, The Unit, 24, Numbers. And I truly dislike all the reality shows, I do not care about watching other peoples day to day life.
To tell the whole truth! This was an excellent show and should be kept on. ABC you have so many other shows that should be cancelled. The comedy shows you broadcast are not as funny as you think they are. Also you have to many news shows. Get a grip.
I was wondering what happened to the show! I enjoyed the story line, however Maura Tierney’s character was not believable. If they tweak the cast i think the show would survive.
This is why I hate starting to watch new shows that come out. I get in to the show and they cancel it. I am starting to think the best thing to do is wait for at least one season to be completed then start watching. What is the point of starting a new show to just get 3 or 4 episodes then its axed. SHAME ON YOU ABC this was a heck of alot better then some of the other crap you have on….
I totally enjoyed this show. The chemistry of the cast, the story line was intelligent and the endings were surprising. I really don’t feel that ABC gave the show enough time or maybe the wrong time slot to survive.
