O! for a time machine. Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan’s Timeless TV show has been cancelled after one short season on NBC.
A time travel drama, Timeless stars Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, and Goran Visnjic. The NBC cast also includes Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey and Claudia Doumit.
Timeless begins as a mysterious criminal (Visnjic), steals a secret state-of-the-art time machine to use in his attempt to destroy the US. The nation’s best hope lies in the unlikely team made up of a history professor (Spencer), a soldier (Lanter), and a scientist (Barrett).
Timeless: A Look at the Ratings
Season one of Timeless averaged a 1.10 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a average total audience of 4.62 million viewers. When compared to other NBC TV shows the cancellation makes sense. Reportedly, a lot of viewers watching on-line, On Demand, and on DVR delay, but ultimately, the network has to sell ad time, and advertisers like Live + Same Day viewing.
While the Timeless cancellation has not been posted to the NBC-U press site, Deadline has confirmed it.

Come on! The show was pretty much only one I look forward seeing each week. Why must NBC destroy a great show? And only air trash and crap? And now they are canceling Law and Order SVU! Way to go NBC! Due to this, I may cancel HULU.
Very disappointing . We have loved watching this show and we’re looking forward to season 2.
Timeless was a great show. It had science fiction, a love story, adventure, mystery, and best of all history. NBC, you blew it! YOU are now history, I will not watch your network anymore.

I’m extremely disappointed with NBC. The show is entertaining, thought provoking, educational, its all been said. Typical decision by the suits. Garbage rules the airwaves. And then they wonder why people are flocking to the internet for entertainment. Maybe another media company can pick up the production. Lucy needs to get her sister back!
Show teaches you history and has a great plot . It’s worth whatever it cost . Keep Timeless, it is better than a lot of that reality crap that’s on TV .

So, so, so disappointed! Was so looking forward to the fall for a season 2. Wrong decision NBC.
That’s it. I’m done watching network shows. They get you drawn in, give it on one season and then cancel it. I’m done.
This is ridiculous. That show took awhile to grow on you but once it did you wanted to see episodes over and over. What a shame, there was such a cliffhanger that we will never know about now.

This is why I don’t watch live shows much, shield ans doctor who… everything else is streamed ‘re runs of when tv was actually worth watching…because stupid networks can’t run good shows…. and cancel the ones they start… bye NBC!
What a HUGE disappointment!! You didn’t even give the show a chance. Change the time slot and it would make a big difference. Please reconsider. Very well written show and looked forward to it every week.
