(New York) – In 1977, the country watched the Trans Am race across the silver screen and a new generation of car lovers was born. For years, American muscle cars ruled the road, but that time came to an end… but the story doesn’t end there. Entrepreneurial brothers Scott and Tod Warmack risked everything they had to acquire the exclusive rights to the Trans Am brand to pioneer a new-era of the American muscle car. Together, the Warmack brothers embark on a forward-looking journey, fueled by nostalgia, to restore and recreate an American staple while forging a reputation in the competitive automotive industry in Discovery’s all-new series TRANS AM, premiering Tuesday, October 2 at 10pm ET/PT.
For decades, no other muscle car ruled the roads like the Trans Am. So when the automotive icon fell into oblivion, car savants Scott and Tod Warmack risked everything to acquire the rights in an attempt to resurrect the legendary brand from extinction. Now, builder Scott and businessman Tod are giving the greenlight to the Trans Am legacy by restoring old muscle cars and building new ones to breathe life back into American muscle and put the beloved car back on the pavement.
Operating out of production-facilities Trans Am Depot and Trans Am Worldwide, the brothers and their team of talented car savants re-engineer and meticulously craft classic icons from the inside out. The team will uncover existing bodies and build new ones to house some of the baddest engines and equipment to satisfy auto-aficionados across the country. The Warmack vision is larger than life and there are few boundaries that can’t be pushed, but can a few guys from the panhandle of Florida pull off the restoration of a lifetime?
TRANS AM was created by Coast West Entertainment and produced for Discovery Channel by FishBowl Worldwide Media. For Coast West Entertainment, Richard Cohen and Lucia Gervino are executive producers. For FishBowl Worldwide Media, executive producers are Vin Di Bona, Gretchen Morning and Emi Macuaga, with Pascal Franchot serving as co-executive producer. For Discovery, Kyle Wheeler is executive producer and Brian Peterson is producer.”
What do you think? Are you a Trans Am fan? Will you watch the new Discovery series?
Really sucks that the network didn’t keep this show Trans Am but dosnt surprise me one bit they love getting a great show then killing it off . I’m like most of us that are tired of these networks ✂️ shows then having to find another show to take its place . Well I’m about to cut network off and go to watching movies where they can’t cut that off …
This is a great informative show. It has alot of diversity between new production and restoration with the highs and lows of the business mixed in. No annoying catch phrases or unwanted skits, just detailed info about the build or rebuild. The womacks have plenty of interesting facts and information to keep me glued to the program. Please bring this show back.
PLEASE bring the show back!!! I realize it most appealed to Trans Am buffs like me and we may not make enough audience alone but with greater appeal to the huge audience muscle car enthusiasts ratings wouldn’t be an issue. A bit of creativity to broaden the base with more of a lean to the TA Depot restomod side could give enough reason to give it a re-fire. Surely more focus on the rest of what TA Depot and TA Worldwide do a broader audience can be had. The show lacked the production style we are accustomed to seeing with… Read more »
Awsome show. Awsome cars. They are living the dream.
You build bad ass cars I get it, but stop the foolish drama. That crap gets old fast, like your going to go out of business for damn near every decision you make. Show some more enjoyment in the shop. The comradity with employees is more important for a good show. Iron Resurrection is a great example.
Totally agree
Enjoy watching this show.
Love it will continue to watch
I’m an original owner of a 1977 TA SE Bandit addition. I live in Florida and would love to be involved with my car
I have a 1977 TA Special Edition Bandit . I bought new in ’77. It was my first car and I still have it. It’s in good shape, not great. It has a few mechanical and cosmetic issues. It also has a pretty good back story of how and where I purchased it at the time. I’d love to have it considered for a restore, as it is a true American Muscle Car Icon.
Ready! I have a blue 1979 Trans-Am. Excellent condition.
I can’t wait! 1992 Trans Am WS6 5-speed convertible owner here. Not for sale, but would love to have it on the show.
I own a 1988 Trans Am Pegasus. Used in Burt Reynolds TV show, BL Stryker & he signed the glove compartment. Very rare auto only 25 ever made by owner of Pegasus, Charlie Van-natter. Mostly museum kept, has only approx 11,000 original miles. Only 2 yellow were made and this is the only yellow one left in existance. 350V8/Auto/T-Tops/AC, very good condition. Looking to sell. Please contact me if interested for the show.
