True Detective isn’t dead yet. Recently, HBO programming head Casey Bloys said a third season of the series is still possible, Deadline reports.
Created by Nic Pizzolatto, the anthology series features a new crime, location, and set of detectives each season. Season two starred Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Vince Vaughn, and Taylor Kitsch.
After an unsuccessful second season, Bloys had said a third season was unlikely. Now, the network boss has changed his tune. At a recent Television Critics Association panel, Bloys said they are “hoping for a third season.”:
It’s not dead. We are hoping for a third season. It’s a very valuable franchise for us. I’m not sure we have the right take for a third season yet.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of True Detective? Do you want a third season?
Not if they don’t get Cary Joji Fukunaga back!
I’m hearin’ ya big ‘D’. Some serious consideration also please on who you choose to play the principle characters – Vince Vaughn – really – what were you guys thinking?!
