Today brought good news for Switched at Birth fans as the series was renewed for a fourth season. Unfortunately, the news wasn’t good for fans of the Twisted TV show. It’s been cancelled and won’t be back for a second season.
A mystery/thriller series, Twisted revolves around 17 year old Danny Desai (Avan Jogia). Six years ago, he was charged with killing his aunt and he ended up spending five years in juvenile detention. Now, he’s been released and has returned to his small hometown in New York. As he tries to resume his life, a classmate is killed and Danny becomes a key suspect. The cast also includes Madelaine Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Ashton Moio, Kimberly Quinn, Denise Richards, and Sam Robards.
The pilot episode of Twisted aired as a special preview in March 2013 and drew 1.19 million viewers. It wasn’t a great start but the ratings picked up when the regular season started in June. They quickly started falling again.
The cable channel split the season into two parts and, starting in February of this year, gave it the advantage of airing after Pretty Little Liars, their most popular show. Unfortunately, that didn’t seem to help and the ratings got worse and worse. The final two episodes of the season drew just 726,000 and 773,000 viewers.
TVLine now reports that ABC Family has pulled the plug on the Twisted series, leaving viewers with a lot of unanswered questions.

Love twisted!!! Bring it back please
This series is fantastic!! I recently found this on netflix and WOW!!! I couldn’t stop watching it. I got up at 6 in the morning turned it on and didn’t want to stop to eat even. I watched for 6 hours straight. You have to have season 2!!! This is much better than Pretty Little Liars. It is so full of anticipation from one episode to the next.
You need to wrap te show Twisted up. We have watched all of Revenge and never once seen a preview for this show. We have watched it on netflix and would love to see a conclusion at least. Maybe you should have tried a different night; like Saturday or Sunday.
Can’t believe such an excellent show was cut short. I don’t care what the numbers are saying, this show is very is awesome in every way, ts got everything and I think its unfair to we the fans that it got cancelled. Maybe we could even start a campaign to that effect because so many questions have to be answered
I loved twisted, I want some answers now!!! Season 2 please! Or at least a final every finale answer episode!!!! But would prefer whole season worth of answers! PLEASE!!! X

I just caught on the whole first season of Twisted it on Netflix. It was a riveting show. Full of drama and intrigue, it had the makings to really take off. I would love it if this series could come back for season two and wrap up what they had left hanging in season one, and then in the series with a series finale. As of now, I are all wondering. Okay after reading this, I had a lot of typos but the message still stands: Twisted, great show, just schedule it on a different night like Wednesday and time slot like maybe 7pm and you will see the numbers increase. Give it a chance. Give us back a great show! We want Twsted!!! We want Twisted!!!
Please, Please bring back Twisted. I just don’t understand why it was cancelled. Maybe not enough advertising not sure but this was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time.
I loved this show!! Just when I get interested in a good show it ends up getting cancelled. There are a lot of other shows that should be canned. Get rid of the reality shows, talk shows, and the vile smut shows instead.
This show was excellent, with the perfect amount of suspense and entertaining story line to draw you in. No way this show should’ve been cancelled, especially with no closure!
