Tyrant was cancelled after just three seasons on FX, and the reasons behind the shocking cancellation have now been revealed. Bert Salke, the FOX 21 President, spoke about those reasons with The Hollywood Reporter.
Salke said the following:
“We knew after the second year and were really aware that for a show we felt so strongly about — and the fan base felt so strongly about — that the numbers weren’t commensurate with the base for the show. Nobody was more aware than the FX people and John wanted to get in front of it. Chris, Howard and the studio went in with very open eyes and hoping for the best. We were getting behind it the same way we do every year and preparing for any number of outcomes. There were no surprises.”
There is hope that the series will return. Tyrant is being actively shopped to streaming services. It could land on Netflix or Hulu.

I loved the show. The plot was excellent and well carried out. I really wished Fox had decided to put a fourth season instead of all this REALITY crap on the air today. In my opinion FOX is way ahead of the big networks.

Tyrant was such a great show. I am shocked and very disappointed that the great show was cancelled. I’ll never understand why they always pull the good show’s. I hope another network picks them up and they bring the writers in as well. PLEASE!!!
I have been telling every I know how good this show is and to watch the series to find out it has been cancelled! There are hundreds of shows o. fix that should have been cancelled before this one. Do I need to give a example?

Tyrant was an excellent show with fantastic actors and an amazing story. My entire family and I are hooked on this show. We would get together and discuss every episode and we could not wait for next week’s episode. Please!!! please!!! bring it back!!!!
