Each week, sweet Betty Suarez successfully navigates the “shark-infested” world of Mode magazine. Unfortunately, her TV show hasn’t been as lucky with the TV ratings. It was barely renewed last season and it looks very likely to be cancelled this time around.
What can you do? Remember, the ideal scenario for ABC is for many millions of people to watch the show on their television sets, while it’s being broadcast. Unfortunately, ratings are put together based on a sampling of viewers. If you’re a “Nielsen household,” your viewership is being directly counted. If not, it’s really not.
However, if you like Ugly Betty and want to see it continue, there are a few things you can do to help.
- If you’re a Nielsen family, watch the show whenever it’s on. If not, watch it on TV or watch at ABC.com or purchase episodes on iTunes so your viewing will be directly counted. Encourage others to watch the show. You might know a Nielsen family and not be aware of it.
- Talk about the show with others; at school, at work, online, or wherever. Creating a buzz about a show that you’re invested in gets other people interested or might help bring former viewers back.
- Sign the petition below and encourage others to do the same.
- Write to the network. Be respectful. Everyone responds better to courtesy. Tell them how much you enjoy the show, that you’ve signed the petition, and that you want to see it continue. We need season 5 for Ugly Betty. After some research, I see many viewers disappointed that the show has no ending episode. 2022 is a year of poor tv show captions, people have been turned off shows due to biased news and shows, Ugly Betty is a refreshing out of the common drugs, war, racism, and other so common tv issues that people are now bored. Bring back Ugly Betty who has already gained a large number of fans and achieve gaining a new generation of fans, which is a guarantee.

Please put it back on it taught me to be strong and that dont worry about what people say to you and dont worry about the people you work with make the best out of it and avoid the bad situations. Me and my little sister loved this tv show it made me laugh cry confused and interestedin betty's life if it wasnt for betty i still be crying bout people calling me fat and ugly i still be crying over some dude and still would be crying over my dead grandaddies nat anymore because of that show it saved my whole life it mostly taught me that no matter how you dress no matter how you look no matter how weird dirty or messy you are you can still be both professional and yourself and thats the best lesson i can learn from especially if im in school

I really enjoyed watching Ugly Betty that I would drive with my boyfriend at the time to his parent's house to watch it together as a family. I enjoyed every cast members, the story lines, Betty's lovelife and the fashion/magazine industry.
We watched it from the time it aired and was completely hooked. Now seeing it on Netflix make me sad that it ended so abruptly. Truthfully, I ended up doing a marathon of it.
Since it's been years since the last episode was on air, I do believe that the show can potentially do well again for reasons that dome shows don't offer. For example, Betty has such a great family support that people thirst for. No matter what arguments they get into each other, they have a loving father who is so loving and gracious, and fills your home with great looking homemade meals. They then sit together and eat as a family, which makes you want to pull up a chair to eat with them. It's great to see family values shown on TV.
Then, you've got opportunities of working in a high fashion magazine industry that, which can definitely bring high insecurities, but Betty shows that you can overcome your fears through hard work, dedication and confidence. As a result, she lands in many great job opportunities.
I would hope that I, along with other people here will be able to convince the network, directors and etc. to put the show back on.

i would really like to see what happens at the end of ugly betty and i dont think the ending for season 4 satisfies the viewers.. i love this show very much and im kind of upset that i didnt get to see if betty and daniel ever end up together.. i hope you take this into consideration and at least make another ugly betty episode or season to answer all of the viewers questions. I was completely devastated when ugly betty was canceled. A major factor was due to ABC changing their time slot, which is when they lost a lot of viewers. I was in college at the time and it was hard for me to keep up with the changes. I can only imagine how that tripped up other viewers as well. I don't believe the show was given a fair shot. Ugly Betty was a very inspiring show that gave the average woman confidence to be themselves. It encourages women to work hard and push through any adversities they may face. Ever since the show has been cancelled I binge watch the series every year or so. I know it seems a bit much but I love every single minute of it!

I just discovered ugly Betty not too long ago, but I got to tell you once I started to watch it, it definitely caught my attention and reeled me in. It just kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next. The more I watched it, the more it caught more of my interest. This show is such an inspiration and encouragement, I mean there is so many life lessons we can learn from this show. It thought me to be humble, love others regardless, family togetherness, professionalism, having a great heart, exceptance etc.... The list goes on. Everything that happens in this show are all real life situations that shows us to not let anything or anyone destruct us or bring us down and if things don't work out to get back up and try even harder. This show can encourage and maybe even change many people's lives. There just has to be a season five! The season finale just wasn't conclusive enough, in my opinion ugly Betty's new chapter in life was just the beginning, an all new beginning in season 5! Having a season five would probably even get more better ratings, to see ugly Betty all grown up and the whole outcome of her hard work to get to where she has gotten. Please bring our ugly Betty back! We would love to see our little girl all grown up and successful! Please bring Betty back, please bring Betty back, PLEASE BRING OUR INSPIRATIONAL BETTY BACK!!!!

I work nights so I can't catch Ugly Betty on tv, so I watch her on Netflix. No, that was NOT a satisfying ending to all those seasons. It could have been way better or at least a two-hour show ender. At least show some of what was meant for Daniel and Betty now. Very disappointed its cancelled. Bring it back please!!

There are a lot of new shows out now that do not add up to this show. I have watched all the episodes several times can not get enough of it and it would be even better if I could move on to the next chapter of Betty's Life as well as her career. i was a late fan of ugly betty but i would really appreciate it , if ugly betty was back on air . I watched it on netflix & i just couldn't get enough of watching every episode & season since the begining and when i saw i was on the very last episode it ticked me off because i wanted to keep watching more. Hello, I would like to say that I really loved Ugly Betty. I watched it on Netflix and I would like this show to continue to season 5. I think alot of hispanic viewers where encouraged by her courage to make it through the fashion industry knowing that it was going to be tough for her. As a hispanic woman I know how hard it is to continue where I feel that I dont belong, but watching Ugly Betty taught me that anything is possible if you have faith in yourself and try you're hardest to fit in and to continue with you're head held up high.

Ugly Betty was an extremely well directed and managed show. I have to say that I watched almost 3 seasons right of the bat with out rest!Ok, maybe a little rest. Ugly Betty is the perfect creation and inspiration for diverse viewers through out the world. I know it brought my family together, created harmony, and it thought us not to conform with out a fight. This show made me realize that there is nothing impossible in this world and that dreaming big is what life is all about. Reaching our family goals or career goals may not always be easy, but we must stay hopeful and we surround ourselves with the people who care for us the most. In life we have to make many tough choices. We saw Betty endure a lot of pain and struggles, but it only made her better. Ugly Betty was and is pure inspiration. The cast in the show was amazing, it was so versatile and unique. All the characters had something special and they truly grew on me. I don't find that in many shows. Ugly Betty needs to come back and have another 10+ seasons. This is a show about changing lives and it's truly unfortunate that ABC decided to pull the plug. Maybe the show was too "honest" and "real" and many viewers can't handle something like that. Best wishes to the whole production. You are all extremely talented and deserve to come back.
