NBC has picked up a single-camera comedy called Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. It comes from 30 Rock’s Tina Fey and Robert Carlock.
Here’s what we know so far:
“UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT”
NBC has ordered 13 episodes of a new singlecam comedy from multiple Emmy Award winners Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. Ellie Kemper is set to star.
Produced by Universal Television and Little Stranger, Inc., and set to debut in fall 2014, the series will center on a woman (Kemper) who escapes from a doomsday cult and starts life over in New York City.
Fey and Carlock, who will serve as writers for the series, will executive produce with David Miner.
We should know more in the coming week.
What do you think? Does this show sound like a hit or a flop? Will you check it out?
This show sounds like it’s going to be a monstrous hit! Tina Fey is a genius and Ellie Kemper is destined for greatness – and when you spice that pair up with D’fwan how can you go wrong! I can’t wait for the first episode. How exciting!!!
