Telly’s Take
Despite declining ratings, History renewed Vikings for a fifth season. Creator Michael Hirst recently said he thinks they have enough material for another two seasons on this historical drama. How long must a simple bird of prey wait for a bite to eat? Only time will tell.
9/12 update: Vikings has been renewed for season six. Season five premieres on History in November. Details here.

What do you think? Are you happy the Vikings TV show was renewed for season five? How would you feel if History had cancelled this TV show, instead?
We LOVE the Vikings show. It holds your attention with lots of twist and turns. Looking forward to season 5 and hopefully it will go on and on.
Looking forward to working under the direction of Katherine Winnick as she makes her directing debut in Season 6. Her experiences in the show should stand her in good stead behind the camera.
I absolutely love this show and wish to see it continue on. So happy to know it has been renewed for a season six!!!!
I have looked forward to each new program with great enthusiasm. So many of us are of Viking descent and that makes the show just that much more meaningful, even if it is just a story there is much history involved, also. I wish it were a bit easier to know when the series stops and starts again — I fear I’ll miss out on its continuation.
I Have VERY MUCH ENJOYED WATCHING as Vikings has Grown into what it is NOW. And in a very important time of CHANGE. I would “Love” to keep on watching as the Story goes on. This is a VERY interesting TV series to watch. To learn and SEE some of our History and how thing where and made. We learn from watching and seeing these things. Please Keep on going forward with Next Season of Vikings!

Vikings is my all time favorite show. I was surprised Ragnar was killed off. Really surprised the show will continue without him but, so glad it is.
Didn’t miss an episode I loved all four Seasons. Hated killed off King Ragnar but looking forward to seeing what Ivan the Boneless does in England and the Mediterranean. Really learned a great deal about a small percentage of my ancestry. Pagan and Christian good directory.
