What’s next for The Voice? Recently, Warner Bros’ reality TV chief Mike Darnell spoke with Deadline about the future of the NBC series.
The singing competition show, which is distributed by Warner Bros TV, is currently in its 12th season. Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani, and Blake Shelton serve as coaches.
In the interview, Darnell said The Voice has many more years in it:
Quite long. The world has changed so the numbers it’s doing are really great for this time, and NBC, obviously it’s a big show for them, but it also is a great show for promoting things out of and launching things out of. I would say, at least another four or five years.”
And what about spin-offs? Darnell said he’s a fan of The Voice Kids, which airs in other parts of the world:
NBC has to be on board for that conversation. So far they have not really brought it up to me. Personally, I’m a fan of trying it because The Voice Kids is working virtually everywhere in the world it’s in.”

The Voice is an awesome show!!! The comical fueding between Blake and Adam is hilarious and the girls are great too!! TV needs more good family shows like this nowadays.

OMG!!! Just leave it be as it is, don’t force ANOTHER SINGING COMPETITION DOWN OUR THROATS!!! You’ve lowered the Age limit to 13 years as it is, what do you want babies to sing!! I think having kids any younger than 13 years, would be a CRUSH TO THERE SELF CONFIDENCE, IF THEY DON’T MAKE THE SHOW!!!! Not a GOOD IDEA!!!
This is a tough one. While I enjoy seeing talented children, I strongly feel they should have their childhood and education before embarking on any kind of career.
