Lori Loughlin
Things are not going well for Lori Loughlin. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hallmark has severed all ties with the When Calls the Heart co-star following her arrest.
Earlier this week, Loughlin was arrested by the FBI after being accused of participating in a nation-wide college admissions scheme. The Full House star has been a cast member of Hallmark’s hit series When Calls the Heart since its debut in 2014. Additionally, she stars in the network’s film series Garage Sale Mysteries.
Hallmark Channel released a public statement announcing their separation with Loughlin. The network doesn’t specify if they’ll continue to air the current season of When Calls the Heart but it seems likely that they will. If Heart is renewed for a seventh season, it appears that Loughlin’s Abigail Stanton character will not be a part of it.
Here’s the statement:
We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations. We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin including Garage Sale Mysteries, an independent third party production.”
Update: A Hallmark spokesperson tells us that When Calls the Heart has been pulled from the March 17th schedule. Will future episodes air? “We are evaluating all creative options related to When Calls the Heart series.”

I love When Calls there Heart, I sure hope it will continue. I don’t think what she and others did is alright but it doesn’t change her ability to play the parts she plays on tv. That jerk on Two and a half men is still on with Charlie Sheen. That msn did and does worse things than Lorie.

It would be a great disservice to both the other actors and the loyal fans to pull When Calls the Heart. She plays a character and her role can either be replaced in future filming or killed off. She though is innocent until proven guilty, so use the time before she has had her day in court to continue showing the show. If she is guilty, then replace her character with another actress or kill her off. If she is innocent, or can rehabilitate her image, then she can continue. LL is totally replaceable for both TV shows she is on.
Consequences for actions – the super wealthy are not exempt. Would love to see her replaced by an actress who doesn’t wear a halo in every TV movie she is in, hence better actor than LL. She won’t be missed if cast with a good actress.

I am very disappointed in hallmark firing Lori Loughlin. She has been charged with a crime not yet found guilty. Hallmark acted too quickly. Hallmark should continue to air garage sale mysteries. At least they could recast her character. I would still watch her movies in Repeats. I don’t like what she did but am able to separate the actress from the characters she plays.

This is stupid but I have lost slesp over Lori’s stupidity. I don’t even know her. But I have really enjoyed her shows and make sure to watch them. We are all stupid at some time or another. She showed very bad judgement. Why is everyone getting punished over her mistake. She will pay dearly but why does everyone have to pay. This maybe the best year of the show so far. Yes the poorer kids don’t get assistance even tho they have the high grades to get in. Financial reasons should not be a hold on ability to further education. Most colleges are way high priced to begin with. Don’t pay administration such high salaries so kids can attend.

I feel sorry for Lori. I believe there is is more good in her than this one, but, yes, big mistake. However, we can not be so cruel to her. She is paying dearly for her mistake. Let’s say a prayer for her and her family. We are to forgive others, we all sin. This only shoes actors are not better, but she is a human being, and she needs us now.
It is overkill, you are punishing fans and cast for a mistake.

I’m saddened that this has happened to When Calls the Heart. Don’t pull the show. Recast Abigail part. Don’t punish the other cast members because of one. The story lines are not just one part, it’s a whole town characters that make this show.

I believe pulling When Calls the Heart shows already in the can will be hurtful to the show, the rest of the cast and the fans who are, quite frankly, smart enough to be able to distance a fictional character from an actor. Loughlin has shown herself to be foolish when it comes to her kids’ futures – hopelessly human and she’s paying dearly for it. I think it is a shame that you don’t support a longtime family member of your network. Her crime was doing whatever she could so that her children could go to a competitive school. I am embarrassed that Hallmark pulled out so quickly. You have lost more customers by cancelling two beloved shows than you would have by supporting her. Shame on you Hallmark.
Doing whatever you can for your kids means encouraging them to find something they enjoy and study very very hard to get into the school that they qualified to get into. Not lie and bribe behind the scenes and pay multi thousands of dollars to do so, it doesn’t put a lot of faith in your own kids and wrong and right are real things. Yes she is human and I will pray for her and her family. But there are other good actors they could fill the characters with that would appreciate the opportunity.
