Ever wonder what happened to the actors and actresses from your favorite cancelled shows? Many are still around and quite busy in the industry. Here’s where you’ll be able to see a bunch of them…
Krysten Ritter (Gilmore Girls, currently ‘Til Death) has been signed to star alongside Jay Baruchel (Undeclared) in DreamWorks’ upcoming She’s Out of My League picture. Others in the cast include T.J. Miller (Carpoolers) and Geoff Stults (7th Heaven, most recently October Road). The movie follows an average guy who hooks up with the perfect gal but his lack of confidence and friends and family begin to pick apart the relationship.
Pamela Anderson (Stacked) will star in her own reality show on E! television. Pamela will be presented “in the style of a uniquely shot documentary film,” says Randy Barbato, managing director of World of Wonder Productions. The series is set to air during the summer months
Alan Tudyk (Firefly) has signed on to star in ABC’s as-yet-untitled Kohan/Mutchnick comedy pilot. The sitcom follows two lifelong best friends and business partners, one of whom is straight and the other is gay (Tudyk).
Nana Visitor (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) has a brief part in the upcoming Friday the 13th remake. She’ll play Pamela Voorhees, the mother to the hockey mask-wearing serial killer Jason.
Andrea Parker (The Pretender) has joined the cast of Bernie Mac’s new FOX series, Starting Under. The series follows Mac’s character who, after a divorce, finds himself living with and working for his son Bernard (Bert Belasco). Parker will play Jada, a blue-collar employee who develops a complicated relationship with Bernard.
Josh Dean (Free Ride) and Vanessa Lengies (American Dreams) have signed on to ABC’s sitcom pilot This Might Hurt. It’s a semi-scripted comedy that’s set in a medical office run by a fifty-something pediatrician, his brainy internist son (Dean), and an OB/GYN. Lengies will play Lily, the clinic’s new, sweet, and naive receptionist.
Josie Bisset (Melrose Place) and Mark Derwin (Heist) have joined the cast of a new series from 7th Heaven creator Brenda Hampton. The as-yet-untitled ABC Family drama centers on a pregnant teen (Jack & Bobby’s Shailene Woodley) and how the unexpected development affects her friends and family. Bisset will play the wife of Dr. Marshall Johnson (The Dukes of Hazzard’s John Schneider) while Derwin will play the husband of Molly Ringwald (Townies), Woodley’s mother.
