TV show description:
This horror TV show begins three years after a zombie virus has gutted the United States. A ragtag band of everyday people work together to transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California — where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood.
The antibodies that he carries are the world’s last, best hope for a vaccine however, he hides a dark secret that threatens them all. With humankind’s survival at stake, the team embarks on a journey of survival across 3,000 miles of rusted-out post-apocalyptic America.
Prior to the zombie apocalypse, Lieutenant Mark Hammond (Harold Perrineau) was one of the most respected members of the elite Delta Force. A military man at his core, Hammond will do whatever it takes to ensure a possible cure for the zombie virus is found.
Charles Garnett (Tom Everett Scott) was with the National Guard based out of Georgia. He can be a dangerous man but has managed to maintain a compassionate demeanor and employ a cool logic.
Citizen Z (DJ Qualls) was once known as Private First Class Simon Cruller. Stationed at a remote NSA listening post in the Arctic, he was spared from the zombie apocalypse but his network of surveillance cameras and listening equipment captured everything. He’s a calming voice in a landscape of disaster. A computer hacker, he broadcasts over any means of transmission he can, quick with a joke and full of hope that one day the world will go back to the way it was.
Roberta Warren (Kellita Smith) is ex-National guard. Like many other survivors, Warren lost nearly everything and everyone that mattered to her.
Mack Thompson (Michael Welch) is a good looking nice guy and college athlete who has eyes for one girl. Addison “Addy” Carver (Anastasia Baranova) has the soul of an artist but, when push comes to shove, she has the guts of a killer and can take care of herself.
A former addict, Steven “Doc” Beck (Russell Hodgkinson) isn’t actually a doctor. He’s just self-taught with a really, really strong stomach. Rough around the edges, he’s a stand up guy.
The past of Cassandra (Pisay Pao) is shrouded in mystery and trauma and she’s managed to survive the end of the world. 10K (Nat Zang) doesn’t talk a lot but is very good with a gun and he loves killing zombies. A tally of 10,000 is his goal (hence his name).
Murphy (Keith Allan) was doing time for white collar crime when the zombie apocalypse broke out. The government, desperate for a cure for the zombie virus, started experimenting on prisoners. That’s when Murphy was mauled by a horde of the undead but he survived. That may mean that Murphy — who most consider a complete jerk — is the key to a cure, and restoring the world to a semblance of what it used to be.
Episode #69 — The End of Everything
The heroes break into Altura in an attempt to bring Pandora and Estes to justice; Cooper reappears, shocking Warren; there’s something he has to tell her.
First aired: December 28, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Z Nation TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a sixth season?
Leave it on air just watched all shows on Netflix love this show can’t wait for it to come back.
I love ZNation! Loved it from the start. I’m hoping it really is renewed.
It’s a dark show but we love it! It’s something different and the hour allotted passes quickly, which means, to us, it’s a good show. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it but don’t screw it up for the rest of us that do like it. Happy Holidays!
Cancelled. There is nothing ele to write about.
i think they should not take it off the air, and they need to keep it going
I love the show, keep it going
Bring back Tom Everett Scott the show needs him. I stopped watching it when they killed him off.
I watch this show with my son and we love it. We love it and hope it runs for more seasons to come.
Last night’s episode was much better than the week before. I call the episode from the week Zombie Groundhog Day and would not recommend it to anyone. However, last night we returned to the basics of moving west, encountering other survivors, collaborating with them to further the mission of getting Murphy to the lab, and examining the possibility of humanity post apocalypse. Garnet had to sacrifice himself – not only for Murphy – but to allow other characters to grow and take leadership challenges. Now we see that even Murphy is growing in his definition of “mercy” and it was… Read more »
I DVR the episodes and just watched you kill off Charlie. I then deleted the rest and cancelled the series recordings. Are you BRAIN DEAD???? (zombie pun intended). I get it… you do something that WD fans would likely kill themselves over….you killed off the “Rick.”. What you clearly don’t get is that you had a winning combination of cast members….and yes, we accept that you will kill off people we grow to love. But as far as I’m concerned, you can’t replace Charlie or the nuances of his character/personality now. So you’re dead to me. Such a shame.
I realy like this show give it a chance. Look at the walking dead I love that show and it got a slow start. Give shows a chance before you pull them. That is why I hate giving new shows a try because they are pulled to soon. Keep Z Nation ON………
I love this show; but I don’t think they should have killed off Charlie. I think Murphy should have bitten him so he would not turn. This would have really shown how important Murphy was to the group (and even to Murphy); a reinforcement to the gun guy he bit that did not turn after he was shot. Besides, where is the plot if something happens to Murphy. This show is not a show without Murphy. His wit is awesome! I love it when he asks “What?”, with that sarcastic tone.
I like the show but without Garnett, I’m not sure. He was likeable, and will be missed. I’ll just have to see if the writers ruined this show like they seem to do to sooften when they wish to shake things up.
This show is great! Loved the recent episode although I hate to see any member of the group die, it just made sense that he would sacrifice himself.
Very well written script and terrific acting.
I love this show I hope they keep it going I was not happy about them killing off Charlie Garnett.
