TV show description:
This dramatic thriller series is based on the James Patterson novel of the same name. It revolves around a wave of violent animal attacks against humans that is sweeping the planet.
Jackson Oz (James Wolk) is a young, renegade American zoologist who spends his days running safaris in the wilds of Africa. He begins noticing the strange behavior of the animals and works to figure out the reason for them. As the assaults become more cunning, coordinated and ferocious, he is thrust into the race to unlock the mystery of the pandemic before there’s no place left for people to hide.
Other characters include Jamie Campbell (Kristen Connolly), Mitch Morgan (Billy Burke), Abraham Kenyatta (Nonso Anozie), Chloe Tousignant (Nora Arnezeder), and FBI Agent Ben Shafer (Geoff Stults).

Is the TITLE! It is a great book and I watched this series, although it is riddled with commercials, because I so enjoyed the book. I saw nothing that compares with James Patterson’s book. Too bad.
I agree with you about the book, but this is fairly decent entertainment – considering it’s become “animal of the week”. I must say the end of the episode stretched belief, tho’ – hard to believe there were THAT many escaped animals from the zoo!

Hope it is renewed. Great cast and a really different vibe. I especially like the heartpounding action that happens over and over, making an episode fly by. Don’t blink; you’ll miss something. After watching the finale tonight, I can’t bear the thought that this is the end of the story! Yikes!

The season-ending episode was – in no way – the same as the ending in the book. Not near od enough.
If it’s based on James Patterson’s book and the last episode wasn’t the end of the book, doesn’t it have to go a second season? Enjoy the show very much.
