Rob ratingsHere are the ratings for ¡ROB! — the TV series that stars Rob Schneider as a former life-long bachelor who marries into a close-knit Mexican-American family. The first season of ¡ROB! typically airs Thursday nights on the CBS network.

Demo average rank: #6 of 21 scripted TV shows on the network (Fall 2011 – Spring 2012).

It was a solid launch for the new comedy. It lost 23% of the demo audience from lead-in Big Bang Theory. However, ¡ROB! outperformed the season premiere of Rules of Engagement by 14% and December’s last original episode of Rules by 52%.

It was also a significant improvement for CBS (up 41% in the demo) when compared to last year’s ratings for now-cancelled $#*! My Dad Says. Unless the show seriously declines in the next couple weeks, it looks like the network may finally have found a compatible partner for Big Bang.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you like the ¡ROB! TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

How can one possibly expect a genetic similarity between actors of any race? They got their job for their talent, not looks.

I would cancel this show, however, I am not a fan of TV sit-Coms. Perhaps, if the show did not have the fake laugh tracks prompting people to laugh.

It would be nice if CBS replayed it with a renewed version of That Was the Week that Was in the early 60′s (Watched them in at a TV Library.) The show was political and timely but it skewered both right left and center. Sadly, LBJ had it cancelled (or so I was told by putting pressure on the advertisers back then.)
