The alphabet network has announced that the second episode of their new Dana Delany series, Body of Proof, will follow Desperate Housewives on April 3rd. As you may recall, Delany co-starred on that series for a couple seasons. Body of Proof will debut on Tuesday, March 29th at 10pm. Detroit 1-8-7 is expected to have completed its first (and likely only) season by that time.
ABC ANNOUNCES NEW DRAMA “BODY OF PROOF” AIRING ON A SPECIAL NIGHT AND TIME, SUNDAY, APRIL 3 AT 10:00 P.M.
The second episode of new drama “Body of Proof” will air on a special night and time, SUNDAY, APRIL 3 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET), following an original episode of “Desperate Housewives.” The show’s regularly scheduled premiere will air as originally announced on TUESDAY, MARCH 29 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET).
Dr. Megan Hunt (Dana Delany) was in a class of her own, a brilliant neurosurgeon at the top of her game. Her world is turned upside down when a devastating car accident puts an end to her time in the operating room. Megan resumes her career as a medical examiner determined to solve the puzzle of who or what killed the victims. Megan’s instincts are sharp, but she’s developed a reputation for graying the lines of where her job ends and where the police department’s begins. It turns out her career isn’t the only thing that will need to be rebuilt; Megan’s family has taken a backseat to her ambition, and now she’ll discover there’s a lot of work to do when it comes to dissecting her relationships with the living.
“Body of Proof” stars Dana Delany stars as Dr. Megan Hunt, Jeri Ryan as Dr. Kate Murphey, John Carroll Lynch as Detective Bud Morris, Nicholas Bishop as Peter Dunlop, Sonja Sohn as Detective Samantha Baker, Geoffrey Arend as Dr. Ethan Gross, and Windell D. Middlebrooks as Dr. Curtis Brumfield.
The series is created by Christopher Murphey and executive-produced by Murphey, Matthew Gross, and Sunil Nayar. “Body of Proof” is produced by Gross Entertainment and ABC Studios.

I can’t wait. Dana Delany is great in everything she does, so I expect it’ll be a very interesting, thought-provoking, non-fluff kind of show.
Uh, did I miss the first episode? This article talks about the second episode…what happened to the first?
@Gina: You must have missed the info in the first paragraph. It debuts on Tuesday, March 29th at 10pm.
What were the TV execs thinking by putting the season premiere of Body of Proof in the same time slot up against two of TV’s best shows – The Good Wife and Parenthood – as I can only DVR 2 shows at one time?
I guess their goal is to get the show cancelled before it even has a chance. Oh well!
@D: Actually, it beat them both.
