Tonight, Nickelodeon will air the last episode of iCarly — “iGoodbye.” As you may know, the series finale will revolve around Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) hoping to reunite with her military officer father so she can fulfill her dream of attending a special father-daughter dance.
Cosgrove says that filming the episode was a very emotional experience. She told TV Guide that viewers can expect some “silly little odes to the first season” and that it’s a “definite ending” to the series. She notes, “Characters say goodbye to each other, and we give viewers an idea of what they will go on to do.” Cosgrove admits that “It wasn’t hard to bring emotion to the episode because everyone was pretty ad on set… The last scene, everybody started to fall apart. It was like we were saying goodbye.”
Earlier this week, the actress stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to chat about attending USC as a film major, the Late Night crossover with iCarly, and the end of the teen sitcom. Cosgrove also brought along a clip from the finale that includes a nice nod to the final episode of The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
